1. We believe in the inspiration by
the Holy Spirit of the Bible. It is
the Word of God. We believe that the men who penned those books
of the Bible were breathed on (inspired) by the Holy Spirit and
that the actual author is God (Yahweh)
and that His signature is all through scriptures. The Word of
God is God's revelation to mankind and has authority over all of
our lives. 2 Timothy 2:15-16; 3:16 ;
Hebrews 4:12
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons:
The Father, and the Son, and the Holy
Spirit. They are a tri-unity, where God the Father is not
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is not God the Father, but
all three are One God. This is not possible to man, but God
transcends our physical limitations, and with God all things are
possible. This is what His Word declares of God's nature. There
are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and
the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.
Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; John 8:56-59; John
15:26; Ephesians 4:4-6 ; 1 John 5:7-8
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is
the Eternal Word of God (LOGOS),
and was with the Father in the beginning and all things are by
Him and for Him. He is the only begotten Son of the Father,
conceived of the Holy Ghost, and became human flesh by being
born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus Christ was
both God and man together. Jesus was crucified, buried,
and raised from the dead. The life is in the blood, and Jesus
shed His own blood in our place so that we could be saved. He
ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father
and makes intercession for us now as our Great High Priest.
John 1:1-2,14; 3:16-21; Romans 5:8-12;
Hebrews 4:15-16
4. We believe that all have sinned
and come short of the glory of God. Without Jesus, we are all
guilty before God, and under the wrath of God because of sin. We
believe that repentance is commanded of God for all, and
necessary for the forgiveness of sins and salvation. We are not
saved (born again) by our own works, but by faith in the works
of Jesus Christ at the cross. But we are born again, then God
brings good works through our lives. Luke
13:3; Acts 2:38; 3:19; Romans 3:23-24; 1 John 1:8-9; John 3:36
5. We believe that Jesus Christ is the
only way to the Father. He is the way, the truth, and the
life. And we only have salvation through faith in Jesus Christ
and what He has already done on the cross. We believe that Jesus
LIVED A SINLESS LIFE, AND bore the
sins of the world on the cross, and we only have eternal life
and salvation through faith in Him. John
3:16-21; John 10:9-10; John 14:6; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-10;
Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 4:15-16
6. We believe that justification,
regeneration, and the new birth are wrought
by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
But after salvation, the Holy Spirit brings good works that
proceeds from God. He gives us power to become the children of
God. Romans 3:23-24; 10:9-14; 1
Corinthians 1:30; Ephesians 2:8-10; Colossians 2:12-16; James
2:20-26
7. We believe in water baptism by
immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost as
Jesus commanded as a witness to the world of our conversion.
baptism is for those who have already believed.
Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians
2:12, Acts 8:36-39
8. We believe in a continuing work of
sanctification of the believer after the new birth,
through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ; and by the washing
of the Word, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Sanctification
is the process where the Holy Spirit takes the Word and the
power of the blood and mixes more and more Jesus throughout our
lives. We are made more and more into Jesus' image and the works
of God come through us. It is not a one-time event, but will
continue throughout our lives and our walk in the Spirit. God
makes us holy, and more and more of our lives are consumed by
Jesus and His holiness. John
17:17-19; Ephesians 5:26-27; 1 Thessalonians 4:2-4; 2
Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 13:12; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Peter 3:15
9. We believe in the work of the Holy
Spirit in the lives of the believer. We believe that the
Holy Spirit will bring forth the fruit of
the Spirit in the believer that is submitted to God. The
fruit of the Spirit is in fact the personality and holiness of
Jesus Christ that renews the mind and transforms us into the
image of Jesus Christ. Believers can walk in the Spirit and thus
not fulfill the works of the flesh through the power of the Holy
Spirit. We are told by scriptures to be filled with the Spirit.
Luke 11:13; John 14:16-17, 26; John 15:26; Acts 1:8; Galatians
5:16-18; Galatians 5:22-25; Ephesians 5:18
10. We believe that God still operates spiritual gifts in the
lives of believers who will believe and submit to Him. We
believe that there is an empowering of the Holy Spirit where the
believer can be baptized by Jesus in the power and fire of God.
In salvation, the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the body of
Christ. But in this baptism of power, Jesus Christ baptizes us
in the Holy Ghost.
This opens the doors to being used of God in a greater way in
the grace gifts of God. Spiritual gifts are given and controlled
by the Holy Spirit to edify all. They flow to where there is a
need, and bring the power and grace of God to answer that need.
These gifts reveal Jesus Christ and His grace. There are power
gifts, such as healing, and revelation gifts such as prophecy.
But we are only stewards of the Gifts of God. These gifts belong
to God.
11. We believe that Jesus taught us in John 4 that God is
looking for true worshipers to worship the Father in Spirit and
in Truth together. God has called us to a balanced worship that
has the Word of God seasoned by the Holy Spirit. God is seeking
a people who will worship God with both Spirit and Truth
together. True spiritual power, where the rivers of living
waters flowing from our innermost being, only comes from a
people who worship God in this "True Way".
12. We believe in a literal Heaven, and a literal Hell.
13. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: In the
first resurrection it will bring eternal life for the righteous,
and in the second resurrection at the Great White Throne
Judgment it will bring eternal punishment for the wicked in the
Lake of Fire.
14. We believe that we are in the season of the last generation
of this age before the Tribulation. The Bible tells us that we
will know the season, but not the day or the hour. We believe
that God commanded the church to watch and pray always that we
be accounted worthy to escape all of these things (the events of
the Tribulation mentioned before). We believe in the personal
and imminent return of Jesus Christ at the end of this age to
reign and rule for 1000 years. We are called to work the Harvest
of the Lord and to go out into all the world and spread the
gospel while that we still have time to work. God is calling
right now the 11th Hour Workers to go and work the Harvest of
the Lord.
