7x Times - Perfect Prophetic Timing of the Rebirth of the Nation of Israel and the Last Generation of this Age that will see the Return of Jesus the Messiah to Planet  Earth

A very good friend of mine (Pastor Arnold Martin of Immanuel Baptist Church in Harlan, KY) shared a biblical truth with me recently that showed me that I had a wrong idea about something that I had believed about the last generation of these Last Days for over 20 years.  See, I thought the last generation with the fig tree blooming that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24/Luke 21 was connected with the 6-Day War in 1967.  I actually believed that this "last generation" which would not pass away (Matthew 24) before all these things came to pass started in 1967.  I WAS WRONG.  This last generation of this Age started according to a biblical prophecy on  another, earlier modern-day date.  We are extremely close to the end of this last generation of this age that ends with the Day of the Lord (Armageddon) and begins with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in glory and power with the armies of Heaven.  This study will add to the growing evidence of the prophetic pieces of the Last Days coming together and the warnings that God's Watchmen are crying (to the point that even those who are not born again know themselves that something cataclysmic is coming), this BIBLICAL PROOF that we are at the END of this predicted generation.  This message will show through scripture that:

1.    God means what He declares and will bring it to pass despite men’s ideas.

2.    One of the most amazing prophetic predictions which stretches back in the OT has come to pass in some of our living memories.

3. The "gap" between the 69th and 70th Week of Years in Daniel's 70 Weeks Prophecy in Daniel 9 (the 70th Week being the 7-Year Tribulation or the Birth Pangs of Israel as they as a nation turn to and believe upon the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth is explained.  I always wondered why it was separated, and Daniel 9:24-27 puts a gap of years and years between the 69th and 70th week of years (its in the text - needs no extra [ahem] interpretation).  This prophecy through Ezekiel when you take into consideration what Yahweh (Jehovah God) commanded and promised in the Law of Moses to Israel explains it completely.

4.    We are in (no doubt at all) that LAST GENERATION and in fact, at the end of the time allotted before Jesus will be back on Planet Earth and Israel will be redeemed as a nation.

THIS WILL EITHER CAUSE YOU TO GET EXCITED, OR TO DREAD AS YOU SEE THE HISTORICAL AND PROPHETIC REALITY SHOWN IN HYPER-ACCURATE BIBLICAL PREDICTIONS ABOUT BOTH JUDAH AND THE NORTHERN TRIBES OF ISRAEL DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE STANDING RIGHT NOW WITH GOD.

Note:  I made a mistake the one time that I did teach this at church by trying to put it all into just one session.  If you really cover it well, it will take at least 2 sessions and I hurried it too quickly for people to really catch everything the first time.  This outline posted online will help those who might want the documentation of the scriptures to search it out for themselves.  This is kind of long.  If you were to teach it, it would take probably 3 hours to really go over it thoroughly as a teacher.  Of course, you can read through it much faster and go to the main points and the obvious conclusions which would make this read much quicker.  But where I sometimes post these in sections (if it is a long multi-service teaching session), this will be presented here in one presentation.  Just scroll through it to the end.  It is kind of long, but not long enough to justify multiple sections.  I will be recording this one on RealPlayer Audio (or maybe video later on with some charts) for Voice of the Watchman, and any questions, comments, or complaints can be given "you" on the Warriors of God Last Days Forum.  I would suggest prayer for the leadership of the Holy Spirit before you begin this.  He is the Spirit of Truth.  With no further delay, here is the study:

There are some things that we can “know” from the Word of God that if we apply will be a literal sign of the times.  Some of these things most of those attending fundamentalist Churches who teach the entire, balanced Word of God already know, but there is a concept and promise that God made to Israel that connects directly into what God is doing in these last days and we can learn from this and understand just how far into the 11th Hour that we are, church.

There is a truth that we can understand from God’s Word:   God deals with Israel and the Church very differently when it comes to giving dates and prophetic timing.  I am not so much of what is known as a dogmatic dispensationalist, but I do believe that you take what God says in his word and look to who he promised what was promised to and not 'spiritualize' it (bad terminology to say spiritualize, because what you are doing is manipulating what it actually says to fit your own pet dogma-let's be honest about it, okay?) and make it into someone else as if God changed his mind to accommodate some “mistake” he made in future history.

What you must understand it that God is transtemporal in other words, he transcends time.  He doesn’t just travel in time, He literally is in all time at the same time together.   He is in all the universe and all throughout time and outside of time and the universe which he created.  In the beginning, before there was a single electron creating an electromagnetic field, or any particles or even time or space… if you could somehow exist there and go there, you would find the I AM, or Yahweh which “was” and “is” in the beginning.

Genesis 1:1 (NKJV) “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. “

John 1:1-3 (NKJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. “

Isaiah 46:10 (NKJV) Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'

God is in the past and the future and can declare the end from the beginning and knows “EXACTLYhow many days it is between a prophetic prediction and its fulfillment, for He brings it to pass and see together.

When dealing with the church (the body of Christ) who is told to watch and pray always until the Midnight Cry to be caught up to the Marriage Supper, He never gave us a time reference.  He does not deal with the church in specific dates, but we are living right now, day by day, on the grace of God while God brings as many as He can to salvation as the Harvest is reaped.  We have been in the last days since the Day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:15-21 (NKJV) 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.'

Note that Peter declared that this prophecy originally given by the Prophet Joel in Joel 2:28-32.  Peter identified by the Holy Spirit (which he had just been baptized in the power of) that this was the beginning of the  fulfillment of this prophecy by Joel that would end at the Day of the Lord and the signs in the heavens.  Notice that from the empowerment of the New Covenant through the blood of Jesus Christ, that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord is saved.

The second part about the wonders in the heaven and signs in the earth and the darkening of the moon and darkness all occur during the Tribulation… the 70th Week of Daniel which is coming upon the Earth.  There are something in the neighborhood of 2,000 years between these events.

2 Peter 3:8-10 (NKJV) 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

So, the church are the ones empowered by the pouring out of God’s Spirit and the time of prophetic gifts being manifested upon all flesh… male and female, young and old who began on the  Day of Pentecost in Acts 2.  We are not told when this time of the church (the gap of verse 26 in Daniel 9:24-27… 24-25 being very historic dates and verse 27 being the 70th week of years or the coming Tribulation and the years of history of verse 26 which we are still in separating them) will end and the skies will darken and the signs in the Earth be manifested in this coming time of judgment.  Scan those 4 verses out of Daniel 9, and don't try and put all that together at this point, for we will quickly cover it.  You will find another study on the 70 Weeks of Daniel on Voice of the Watchman, and there are a lot of good Internet Sites that cover it as well.

DANIEL RECOGNIZED THIS IN THE BEGINNING OF DANIEL 9:

Jeremiah had predicted the desolation of the land because they had failed to keep even one of the Sabbath Years since the commandment to  do so was given in the Law.  Along with the 7th day of the week, Israel under the Mosaic Law were supposed to let the land rest every 7th year and God would give a great increase where they did not have to work the land.  After 7 of these weeks of years (after 49 years), they would have the Jubilee!  You can find this in Leviticus 25 through the entire chapter. It was a commandment of the Lord God to his people, Israel.  It foreshadowed the blessings of the New Covenant.

Disobeying God’s commandments because of greed (and a lack of faith) to continually work the land and not trust God to hold up his supernatural end of the commandment brought judgment upon themselves.

The thing that many people do not recognize no matter the Covenant and commandments of God that you are under, be it Adam and his wife in the Garden (with just one commandment), or Noah's descendents, or under the Law of Moses (the Old Covenant), or the New Covenant that Jesus shed His blood to cut with us who believe upon Him; you cannot sin and just get away with it.   Sin brings consequence, and James lets us know that sin when it is finished, brings forth death.  We might think that we are getting away with it under the umbrella of God's grace, but with that attitude, we do not realize what we are doing to ourselves through our rebellion.

The 7 seven-year Sabbath years led up to it, and Israel and Judah had failed to keep them for… 490 years or 70 Sabbath Years So, God made them to let the land rest for the 70 years it had coming to it by force of Nebuchadnezzar who God called his servant for he did God’s will in this.

Jeremiah 25:11-13 (NKJV) 11 And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 12 'Then it will come to pass, when seventy years are completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity,' says the LORD; 'and I will make it a perpetual desolation. 13 So I will bring on that land all My words which I have pronounced against it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied concerning all the nations.

Jeremiah 50:34 (NKJV) Their Redeemer is strong; The LORD of hosts is His name. He will thoroughly plead their case, That He may give rest to the land, And disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

The Prophet Daniel prays in the beginning of Daniel 9 in Babylon a prayer of repentance and repents to God for his entire people and it is a heart-breaking prayer asking forgiveness.  God sent the Angel Gabriel at the end of his prayer for his people and gives the 70 Weeks Prophecy for Daniel’s people, and Jerusalem.

God says that this time span of 490 years that they rebelliously disobeyed the Law would be judged upon them, and that at the end of the 69th, Messiah the Prince would come and die but not for himself (Jesus had no sin- He took our sin upon himself and the Law and our sin was nailed to his cross and he paid the penalty for sin /death/ for all of us).  We need to consider something now – WHY did God put a 2,000 year gap in between the 69th and 70th Week of Daniel to extend this judgment much farther than 490 years?  Why?

There is a reason found in scripture, and it lets us know why and when this judgment will be over and we can calculate to the year and month when it will be finished and all of Israel will be in covenant with Jesus Christ and they all are born again.  This occurs after the Day of the Lord when Jesus comes back.

Let us look at the “why” first, and we will take that scriptures and the known beginning point of the 70 weeks of years and carry it through to the end of the prophecy.  God might not have told the church the day or the hour, but he certainly told Daniel when the judgment would be over and the all of his people and city would be redeemed.

Note:   the 70 Weeks of Daniel is covered here "quickly" and not in depth in order to emphasize the main point of this study - why the gap is there; when that time gap will end; and when that last generation that will see Israel and Judah in covenant with Jesus the Messiah instead.

Daniel 9:24-27 (KJV) “ 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.”

In fact, in Daniel we learn the exact number of days these things will go on, so we see that God deals with Israel and Judah very specifically in prophetic events, but with the church we are simply told to be ready and to occupy or keep doing the works of God on Earth proclaiming Jesus until God calls us out.  We are to remain ready

PURPOSE OF THE 70 WEEKS:

1.     (v.24) The judgment is upon “your people”, Daniel – Judah

2.     Your holy city – Jerusalem

3.     To finish the “transgression” – this 490 year transgression of “The Law” in the Sabbath Years

4.     To make an end of “sins” – this is the New Covenant, which takes away our sins by faith for Jesus Christ took our sins and the law and satisfied/finished the Law on the Cross with him dying in our place

5.     Reconciliation for iniquity (spiritual sin… ex. Idolatry, adultery, homosexuality, witchcraft, fornication, murders) to God (Yahweh) – brings us back together in relationship with God again (also New Covenant)

6.     Bring in “everlasting righteousness” – this is the Kingdom of God on Earth brought by the returning King of Kings, Jesus

7.     To seal up or fulfill the vision (Daniel’s) and prophecy (this one) which will end at the end of this age

8.     To anoint the most holy – khodesh, or the holy place or holy of holies in the rebuilt temple after the abomination of desolation

Daniel 9:25 “ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. “

1.     Daniel 9:25 a span of 7 weeks of years (49 years) from the commandment to rebuild  and restore Jerusalem given by King Artaxerxes in his 20th year of his reign in the month of Nisan to Nehemiah (Nehemiah 2:1-8).  It took 49 years to rebuild what the Babylonians had destroyed.

2.     A second span of time after that of 62 weeks of years (434 years) follows the rebuilding until the time of the Messiah, Jesus.

2 segments of time here are divided by the time it took to rebuild, and then the years from that until Jesus was recognized as the Messiah as he rode in on the foal of a donkey before Passover.

Daniel 9:26 “ And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.“

Daniel 9:24-27 is one of the most astounding prophecies in the Bible – and is accurate to the month and day from a historically known starting point to a discernable ending point when they cried Hosanna Hosanna and recognized Jesus Christ as the Messiah as he took his last trek into Jerusalem before his crucifixion.  It nails it down to the month and day which we know because of the feast of Passover.

1.     “After” the 69th week of years (the 483rd year), Jesus the Messiah would be cut off for us.  He died on the cross “after” the 69th week and before the 70th week of years spoken of in verse 27.

2.     The destruction from Rome would come 36 years later (note the 70th week had not come yet) under the command of a future Caesar of Rome, Titus in A.D. 70.  The Romans (European) are who destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple – and the coming “prince” or Antichrist will come from these people.

3.     The desolations continued on through the years from persecution from the Romans to the persecution by the Nazis in Nazi Germany until the end of the 2nd World War

4.     The flood was the dispersal of the nation of Israel out of their own land by Gentiles.

THE 70TH WEEK OR THE COMING 7-YEAR TRIBULATION ENDING WITH THE DAY OF THE LORD:

Daniel 9:27 “ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

1.     Verse 27 - the Abomination of Desolation that both Daniel and Jesus warns us is coming when the Antichrist desecrates the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem is named here.

2.     The prince of the Romans who will come – make a peace treaty with many (not all) for one week of years, or the 7-year Tribulation.

3.     He receives the wrath of God at the very end of this last 7 years or week of this prophecy

4.     At the end, the promises of verse 24 of what this would bring when judgment is over will come to pass.

There is another time period given by the Word of God to Israel and Judah directly connected to this particular judgment of Daniel 9 which shows how long it will be until the promises of Daniel 9:24 are completed and the end of verse 27 is over

It speaks of these 70 weeks of years (490 years) and why there is a gap in the final fulfillment.  This tells us why there is a gap there in history which we are now in, and when it shall end.

We know from other scriptures that this occurs at the END of the Tribulation at the END of the last 7 Year Tribulation at the Day of the Lord when Jesus returns to Planet Earth in power and great “wrath” with the armies of Heaven (Saints and Holy Angels) to rule and reign with his resurrected church for a thousand years of peace.

GOD GAVE JUDAH and ISRAEL VERY SPECIFIC PROPHECIES ABOUT VERY SPECIFIC TIMES,

BUT THE CHURCH IS TAUGHT TO ALWAYS BE READY AND ALTHOUGH WE KNOW WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS (the last 2,000 years… a thousand years is as a day to the Lord), WE DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE CHURCH AND THAT AUTHORITY OF JESUS CHRIST THAT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THE BODY OF CHRIST WHICH IS HOLDING BACK THE FORCES OF THE ANTICHRIST WILL BE CAUGHT UP (Greek harpazio) OUT OF THIS EARTH TO THE LORD AND THE MARRIAGE SUPPER.

BUT GOD TOLD JUDAH AND ISRAEL HOW LONG IT WOULD BE UNTIL THEIR JUDGMENT OF BEING IN BONDAGE TO OTHER NATIONS WOULD END.

Jesus taught us that we are to remain ready… and not look for a specific day or hour In fact, Rosh Hashanah  is the Jewish New Year and foreshadows (as the feasts and rites of Israel did) a coming momentous event where the shofar of God is sounded and the church is caught up to the Marriage Supper, and it is known by an interesting name connected to these prophecies.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NKJV) 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Rosh Hashanah is known as the “day that no man knows”, and Yom Teruah or the Day of Shouting a noise!  It goes for two days to represent that it is a day that no man knows.  It beings when they spot the new moon and blow the shofar (trumpet… ram’s horn), so it varies on the hour as well.

Matthew 24:50 (NKJV) the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

Matthew 25:13 (NKJV) Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Our lifestyles are to reflect directly what Jesus taught in Luke 21.

Luke 21:34-36 (NKJV) 34 "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

This is the attitude that the church is commanded by Jesus to have… watch and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things which shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man.  Watch and pray always… always be ready.  You don’t know the day or the hour.

1 Thessalonians 4 speaks of the First Resurrection and the catching away of the church (what we call the Rapture of the Church) and then goes into a discussion of how the world will not see it coming and because they are in spiritual darkness will not be able to see the day approach.  However, we are of the day and the light of Jesus and will see the times and season, although not the day or the hour.

Why are prophecies about this coming to light in this time for this generation?  Because God is revealing the truth and sounding alarms for us to be ready… get ready… and work the harvest and get as many saved as will come to Jesus before the time to work is over and the 11th Hour passes.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-11 (NKJV) “ 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”

We know we are in the season.  We know that prophecy has been fulfilled in our generation.  Israel was brought back from the ashes of history from all the corners of the Earth and made a nation again in 1948.  GOD SAID HE WOULD BRING LIFE BACK INTO THE DRY BONES THAT EZEKIEL SAW IN EZEKIEL 37 AND ISRAEL WOULD RISE FROM THE DEAD LIKE A MIGHTY ARMY A GREAT NATION AGAIN.

God spoke the word prophetically and when the time was full and the generation for its fulfillment had come, the Spirit of the Lord moved and the world gave up the Jews after World War II and they came back to their promised land of Palestine and the nation of Israel was recognized and born on May 14, 1948 when the United Nations recognized Israel as a nation.

SADLY, I have commentaries written before 1948 where the commentators tried vainly to make the promises given to a restored Israel really the church, but that was always dishonest.  WHEN GOD SAYS SOMETHING WILL OCCUR, IT SHALL FOR HE IS THERE WHEN IT DOES AND WILL BRING HIS WILL TO PASS NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TURNED TO DUST!

There is a reason that this generation has seen the restoration of the land of Israel to the chosen people of Abraham.  Understand that the church has its place and blessings and covenant, and they are not to be confused with the covenant that God made with the children of Israel because of Abraham.

This nation which blessed the whole world with the Messiah, Jesus and brought light into a dark world through him has not been thrown away by Yahweh.  He loves them and the main point you see in Daniel 9:24 is to bring all of them into the New Covenant:  Daniel 9:24 (KJV) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

This prophecy came by the word of an angel of the Lord in response to this wonderful prayer of repentance of Daniel.  He had found the words of Jeremiah and knew that they had been in Babylon in judgment for 70 years and knew that they would soon be released to return home to Israel and Jerusalem.

This was true and they were about to be released, however the judgment was not over because of an issue that concerns the Law of Moses which they were under and which they had broken.  We will look at that in a moment.

First, how long is the judgment to last and when does it begin?  Note that it had not truly begun yet because Daniel is begin given this word from the Lord about it at the end of the 70 years of captivity in Babylon.  The angel is telling him what is coming at the end of the 70 years that the land was given its rest while they were held captive in Babylon.  The actual judgment for the iniquity is coming, and you will find more problems when we get to  Ezekiel than just neglecting the Sabbath Years for the Land.  There was IDOLATRY being practiced in God's Temple as the leaders had fallen into apostasy and was leading the people into Great Evil.

God let them go for 490 years and had sent prophets but Judah as Israel had before, had gone down the road to backsliding and then apostasy.  Idolatry was being performed in many places giving worship to demonic spirits (who receive the worship in idolatry), and as stated already, some of the priests of Yahweh were also serving other gods as well at times (even hidden away in the Temple).  The lands of Israel and later by Judah as well had been plagued by the cults of Baal and Astarte.  The demonic spirits that had polluted Palestine once before that literally had brought the kind of judgment where the land vomited out its inhabitants as the Earth turned against them now flourished there among the people who (through Abraham) still belonged to God.  Not only Baal and Astarte, but also Dagon’s and Moloch at other times.  If you serve EVIL, then the corruption and DEATH from that corruption eventually will DESTROY YOU along with your walk with the true and living God.

Then after warning after warning through the prophets from God as God revealed their sin and dealt with hearts trying to bring them back to repentance out of his mercy, they still rebelled and the iniquity came to a full and had to be judged.  God is love, but God is holy as much as he is love and sin and iniquity (especially) has to be judged if you do not repent of it.  I think 490 years is especially graceful, and they like America today mistook his grace and pleading with them for the favor of God that they could live as sinfully as they liked and because they were the children of Abraham they would get away with it.

THEY DID NOT GET AWAY WITH IT.

THIS NATION OR ANY OTHER WILL NOT EITHER.

Before someone thinks or says that we are not under the Law as Israel and Judah was, understand that Israel was, and the judgment which started then was under the law that was given to them and for them (the Law of Moses), and the judgment for breaking that Law has not finished yet, even though the New Covenant which brings salvation of the soul to all those who believe upon and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is in effect since the Crucifixion and Resurrection.  This is about a "nation" under judgment for the commandments that God specifically gave them however, and it is not over yet according to scripture.  The principle is one of God’s in line with sowing and reaping

THE LAW OF MOSES WAS GIVEN TO ISRAEL FROM GOD THROUGH MOSES AND HAD BOTH PROMISE AND JUDGMENT ATTACHED TO IT ACCORDING TO IF YOU OBEYED OR REBELLED.

FIRST:  God gave a promise of blessing if they would just walk in his commandments.

Leviticus 26:1-8 (NKJV) “ 1 You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God. 2 You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD. 3 'If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, 4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. 6 I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land. 7 You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. 8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you. “

The warning is given against IDOLATRY which they broke… badly.  Then the commandment is reinforced about keep God’s Sabbaths (including the 7-year Sabbaths which they did not) and reverence God’s sanctuary (it degraded into idolatry at one point and there was a plethora of things which they committed connected to this commandment), then God promised them blessing from the land, and peace in the land, and victory in war where five of them would chase a hundred, and a hundred would put ten thousand to flight and that their enemies would fall by the sword before them.

So, blessing and protection and provision is all promised if they will just walk with God and enjoy a relationship with Him while keep his commandments.  THEY DID NOT.

God wants them to enjoy his presence among them.  You see that especially in verses 11 and 12.

Leviticus 26:11-12 (NKJV) 11 I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you. 12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.

This is as the promise that we have in the New Covenant.

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 (KJV) “ 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. “

You see a change however in the balance of the blessing in obedience to what would happen to them if they rebelled.  As powerful of a promise of blessing and relationship that God promised them if they would just love and obey him, there was an equally powerful promise of judgment if they turned and went the idolatrous ways of their neighbors.

Leviticus 26:14-18 (KJV) “ 14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; 15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: 16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you."

<KEY>  Leviticus 26:18 "And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. “

Verse 18 is the actual key to this multiplying effect on judgment.

So, why is there a gap in Daniel’s prophecy?  Let’s look at the companion prophecy to that found in Ezekiel which came before Daniel’s.  One of the strangest things that a prophet had to endure was to model the judgment that would come to Jerusalem with each day that he suffered and lay in the street stand for a year.

Daniel’s prophecy was to Judah and Jerusalem specifically, but in Ezekiel’s Prophecy, God is dealing with the whole House of Israel and all the tribes, not just the Jews of Judah.  Ezekiel speaks of the judgment on the whole of Israel and instead of 490 years, there is 390 years in Ezekiel 4.

Ezekiel 4:1-3 (KJV) 1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem: 2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about. 3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

So, this clay tablet represents Jerusalem and it prophesies how the fortresses and walls would be built against the attacking armies which would lay siege against it, and Ezekiel had to act this out as a sign of what was to come.  The specifics of the timeline is found in verses 4 through 6.

Ezekiel 4:4-6 (KJV) 4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. 5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. 6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

In Ezekiel 4, Ezekiel had to lie on his left side and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel for the amount of days which represented how many years this would take.  390 years first was to the tribes of Israel.  Then, he had to turn on his right side for Judah and lie there to bear the iniquity of Judah for 40 days (which means 40 years).  God appointed each day to represent a year.

The Jewish calendar was a lunar calendar like ancient calendars of the day, and was based on the moon which gave you a 360 day year.  The 70 weeks of Daniel for the amount of years to rebuild the walls and the city to the time of Christ was figured by the same lunar calendar, and it is exacting.

SO HERE, YOU SEE THE ADDITIVE AMOUNT OF YEARS THAT GOD IS PROCLAIMING ON ISRAEL AND JUDAH FOR THEIR IDOLATRY AND REBELLION AGAINST THE LORD.

390+40 = 430 years of judgment.

In 535 B.C., the 70 years were finishedIn 535, King Cyrus allows the Jews to return to the land of Israel.

535 B.C. is the starting point430 cumulative years for both Israel and Judah begins here.

·         430 total years under the bondage of Gentiles is what God has promised as we have seen what God promised if they did just what they did.

·         These two timeline prophecies in Daniel and Ezekiel are complementary timelines by the way, and one illuminates the other.

430 years determined upon Israel and Judah together.

·         70 were spent in Babylon.  So, 430 years – 70 = 360 years of bondage to Gentile rulers after returning from Babylon.

·         360 years from the year 535 b.c. has to be counted.

·         360 X 360 (360 day years)= 129,600 days.  This equals a bit over "355 years".

This comes to the year 180 b.c. when this prophetic bondage should have ended.

Did they get released in 180 b.c.?  NO.

Were they released from foreign powers in 180 b.c.?  NO.

Is this prophecy in error?  NO, not at all.

Why not?

The very commandments that they broke tells us, and has already been quoted.  Let's look at some things.

What was going on in 180 b.c.?

The current Greek King Seleucus IV Philopator,  who actually was fairly kind to Jerusalem and the Temple was about to lose his life, and the monster that followed him was a pre-runner of the coming Antichrist, Antiochus Epiphanes (who declared himself a god and put pigs in the Jewish Temple to defile it).  He was the most evil oppressor of Israel up to the time of Nero, and he might have beaten Nero and was on par with Hitler.  They actually after this time went into great bondage and the Maccabean Wars began.

This doesn’t sound like deliverance, does it?  Is it?  IT IS NOTWhy did they not get delivered, but instead their bondage under heathen nations increased significantly?

Back where the commandments that were broken was first given where Israel and then afterward Judah broke these specific commandments of the Lord where God promised to bring foreign oppressors in Leviticus 26, you find the key to why it did not end in 188 b.c. like it could have, and would have if they had only repented.

Leviticus 26:18 (KJV) And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

They did not repent, and the promise that God gave along with the promise to bring what He did if they did exactly what they did was put into effect.  The original prophetic judgment for their iniquities is now multiplied by 7 and the years are multiplied to and this is the new number of years that they will be oppressed by the heathen.

Going back to 535 b.c. to the end of the Babylonian Captivity and now multiplying the 360 years by 7.

360 X 7= 2520 lunar years.  2520 X 360 (days) = 907,200 days.

So now instead of the original 129,600 days, now they had to suffer 907,200 days because of their rebellion and refusal to REPENT.

2,485.4 years from 535 b.c. (the fraction takes it between two dates, but rounds to the earlier one).

Would you like to know what date that takes us to from 535 b.c. when they were allowed to go back to Israel and be out from under Gentile Bondage?  MAY 15, 1948

What happened on May 15, 1948???  Does that date sound familiar?

On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared Israel to be an independent nation.  The guns were still being heard between the Arabs and the Jews, and yet there was celebration at this declaration.  The United States and the United Nations recognized Israel as a sovereign nation, and at MIDNIGHT on MAY 15, 1948, when the British Mandate expired, the Nation of Israel was reborn officially!  Ezekiel's dry bones came together and God gave them life again out of the dry dust of time (Ezekiel 37).  The promise that God had made of an everlasting covenant with Israel was shown to still be in effect, and that God means what He says.

When you take the amount of years exactly from when the judgment started according to Ezekiel, and count those lunar years and then multiply them by 7x times because they did not initially repent when they could have, then it comes to the exact date that Israel became a nation officially.  God said on this date that this judgment of being under the control of the Gentiles would be over.  On May 15, 1948, this judgment was over.  This was the exact… the exact date that Israel was declared a nation by the United Nations and the world.  It was the date that Israel fulfilled the prophecy of Ezekiel 37 and the fig tree bloomed again!

It couldn’t happen, could it?  Bible commentators didn’t believe it would happen.  The Jews didn’t even believe it would happen.  Who disagreed with all of these scholars and historians???  GOD!

God said it would happen.

Isaiah 66:8 (KJV) Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

In one day, Israel was back after all those centuries.  From A.D. 70, they were just a historical place and a blessed place in the bible that people read about and preached about and talked about, but those DRY BONES COULD LIVE AGAIN because GOD SAID SO!

Who but God can make a prophecy of over 25 centuries and get it right to the day?

THIS IS WHY THAT THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN DANIEL'S 69TH AND 70TH WEEK OF YEARS.  At the end of the 70 Weeks (these 2 prophecies given by these 2 prophets of God complement one another), Daniel's people (the Jews) and Jerusalem would "all" be believers in the New Covenant as a whole.  The end of iniquity will have come, and this just could not occur until the other judgment was complete.  It had to be completed, which is at least one reason we have had the Last Days (the last 2,000 years) since the Crucifixion of Jesus the Messiah.  The judgment noted on BOTH the House of Israel, and the House of Judah HAD to be fulfilled.  It was fulfilled on May 15, 1948.

This is just like prophecy of Daniel of the 70 weeks where it prophesied the date Jesus would come into Jerusalem on a colt of a donkey and recognized for who he is, the Messiah.

There is no room for debate up this point, but the next few points are debatable.

Israel is in the process of being restored.  Yes, the 70th Week is yet to come, but they are being restored.  The joint judgments from Ezekiel 4 and Leviticus 26 was fulfilled in 1948.  So, we are in that last time of restoration, and Jesus declared that this generation would not pass away before all the events that He described in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 occurring in the 70th Week or 7-Year Tribulation (the birth pangs of Israel) would all be accomplished.

We are living in that time, and the 70th Week of Daniel is about to begin and Jesus is coming very, very soon.  God did not give the church a day or an hour, but we can see Israel and Jerusalem and we know that we are definitely in that last generation.

So… did God tell Israel anything that might tell us?

See, there are at least 3 ways to figure a generation, and a 4th if you consider that it just means that there will be people alive when the Tribulation is finished that were alive and around in 1948.  That generation is growing older.

One way of figuring it had it finished by 2001, and that one got some scholars excited.  I have covered these before in covering Last Days Studies.  But there actually is only one direct reference to it in scripture, which seems to be prophetic for our generation for people generally did not live as long as it says in the time it was written.

Psalm 90:10 (NKJV) The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Oddly, only the really old lived to be 70 then – but it is a normal age now, and 80 if you are healthy enough to do it and God is graceful for it.  This is perfect for this generation.

IT IS BIBLICAL, BUT DOES IT APPLY TO THIS?

1948 + 70 = 2021 (being the outer limit)

2021 – 7 = 2014 (outer limit for the catching away of the church 7 years prior to Christ’s Return)

1948 + 80 = 2028 (most)

2028 – 7 = 2021 (catching away last possible time at the end of 80 years after 1948 – beginning of 7 years Tribulation)

No matter how you look at it, the generation who saw 1948 when this time of the Last Generation began is getting older and Jesus “promised” that it would not pass away before all of the Tribulation is fulfilled and over.

WE ARE CLOSE…  are you watching and praying?  Are you working the harvest?  Are you looking for your Lord to return?   Will you be a faithful servant with the spiritual talents he has trusted to you?  JESUS IS COMING IN OUR GENERATIOIN, AND SOON!
