INTRODUCTION: James, the brother of Jude and Jesus was the first leader of the
Early Church who presided over the Council of Jerusalem. Although he was not one
of the 12 disciples, he was an Apostle and presided over the other Apostles.
This is probably the James mentioned by Jude. According to Mark 6:3, there is a Juda who is mentioned with James the Just as the half brothers of Jesus. Mark
6:3 " Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and
Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they
were offended at him. "
Although he does not say that he is an Apostle, he speaks as one with the
authority as one and has been accepted as Apostolic by the Church since it was
written. This Jude was probably the half brother of Jesus who was at first
offended at Jesus when he started his ministry. Later, his family came to
realize just who Jesus really was.
Jude is a book written to the Last Days. And it deals with some deep subjects
and some things that we have to deal with on a daily basis in our world today.
Jude 1:1-2 " 1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them
that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, [and]
called:
2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. "
Jude identifies himself as the servant of Jesus Christ and the brother of James.
This is interesting if it is indeed the Juda who you see in Mark 6:3.
Jesus' family (outside of Joseph and Mary) frankly did not believe who He was
until He had been resurrected. But afterward, they became a major part of the
Early Church. This Jude was probably the half-brother of Jesus (since God the
Father was Jesus' true father). It is an interesting and a humble identification
that this man gives. The brother of James and the servant of Jesus Christ. He
took a servant's attitude toward Jesus Christ fully exalting Him and humbling
himself. He gave an identification that was easily understood while at the same
time humbling himself and not bragging about being the brother of Jesus.
He rightly put himself as the servant, and not the brother of Jesus. His
attitude had changed much since the early days of Jesus' ministry.
Jude 1:1 (NAS) " ¶ Jude, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James,
to those who are the called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus
Christ:"
Jude... a bond servant... a voluntary slave. Jude had become the voluntary slave
to Jesus Christ. This had been Jude or Juda's big brother Jesus (Y'shua). But
Jude had come to understand who Jesus really is. He is the Christ, the son of
the living God as Peter had come to realize during Jesus' ministry.
Matthew
16:15-17 " 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter
answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus
answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood
hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. "
To them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved by Jesus Christ...
the called!
This is to the church, and not to the lost. You need to keep this in mind when
reading this letter. These words of wisdom and exhortation are to the church...
to those who are saved and redeemed. Sanctified by God the Father, or is it
beloved by God the Father? The Father and the Son, Jesus Christ are separated in
the opening exhortation here. Sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in
Jesus Christ.
The NAS and NJB and others translates sanctified as "beloved". Some old texts
have "beloved by God the Father"... including 3 of the 5 main texts translators
usually look at. The other texts have sanctified by the Father. Hmmmm....
sanctified means to make holy or consecrate.
Either way, God the Father does make us holy, and He does love us.
Colossians
1:12; Jude 1:21; Acts 20:32; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:2
Those being kept or preserved by Jesus Christ. Jesus not only saves us, but He
keeps us or preserves us. He gives us power to be the children of God and walk
as children of God.
John 6:39-40; 2 Timothy 4:18; 1 Peter 5:10; Hebrews 7:25; Ephesians 4:30
Jesus has the power to keep us! The word preserve here is the Greek tereo, which
is to take care of carefully, or to guard, or to reserve and keep. I am on my
way to Heaven... by faith in Jesus Christ I know that I am saved.
Now, I realize that you can choose to walk away from God as the prodigal son
did, but unless I choose to rebel and walk in sin, nothing can separate me from
God's love. Romans 8:35-39 " 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
[shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or
peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day
long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things
we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded,
that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor
things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord. "
The grace of God is not only rich in saving us, but also in keep us!
The word "called" is used here. Paul used this term in relationship with God
"calling" us out of the world of darkness and into His light. We have been
called, and when we answer the call and believe upon Jesus, then receive
salvation. This letter is to those who have been called. 2 Timothy 1:9; Romans
8:30; Romans 9:24; 1 Thessalonians 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1; 1 Peter 2:9 " But ye
[are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light: "
Aren't you glad that God called you? Are you not glad that God loved you enough
to call to you when you were in sin? God has called us! We have a holy calling
that has given us the ability to be translated out of sin and into the light of
God.
Jude is about to go into some very serious warnings about the Last Days, but he
begins with on an upbeat note about the church's redemption and position with
God.
Mercy and peace and love be multiplied unto you. This is a wonderful blessing.
The word "multiplied" is the Greek plethuno, which is to increase or multiply.
May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you. May the fulness of the
Kingdom of God grow in your lives. Romans 14:17 " For the kingdom of God is not
meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. "

Jude 1:3 " Beloved, when I gave all diligence
to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to
write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend
for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. "
He writes "beloved"... as a loving exhortation from an elder in the
church who has apostolic wisdom to the church.
I wanted to write to you about our common faith and salvation, but
these other matters are more pressing. It has become needful to give
you these warnings and exhortations because of the things that we
must face.
These warnings and exhortations are even more relevant in the age
that we live in as we are approaching the return of Jesus Christ to
receive His church unto Himself. And the last generation will be
marked by more apostasy than any other up to it. We need to notice
carefully the Word of God given to us here by Jude.
Many times we might want to share this or that to lift up and enjoy,
but the Holy Spirit knows what is needed. And it is the ministry's
responsibility to God to bring that fresh word from God to meet the
need of the hour. We in this generation have a great need to hear
what God spoke through Jude.
We are to EARNESTLY CONTEND FOR THE FAITH!
Earnestly contend is the Greek epagonizomai, which is to literally
fight against or to have a serious fight over. We are to
earnestly... with fire and zeal contend for the faith that has been
delivered to us.
Philippians 1:27 " Only let your conversation
be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see
you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand
fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of
the gospel; "
Philippians 1:27 (NAS) " ¶ Only conduct yourselves in a manner
worthy of the gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you
or remain absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in
one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the
gospel;"
We are to stand fast in one Spirit and one mind... and live or
conduct our lives worthy of the Gospel of Christ... standing fast
and joining together for combat... striving... contending for the
faith. We are striving together for the faith of the gospel.
This is warfare... combat... contending for the faith.
1 Timothy 6:12 " Fight the good fight of
faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and
hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. "; 2 Timothy
4:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9; Ephesians 6:10-11;
Luke 12:8-9 " 8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever
shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess
before the angels of God: 9 But he that denieth me before men shall
be denied before the angels of God."
And it is a joint fight together with those that are in the faith as
well. We are together in this through faith in the same gospel...
and we are to contend for that faith.
2 Timothy 2:4 " No man that warreth entangleth
himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who
hath chosen him to be a soldier. "
1 Peter 5:8-9 " 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same
afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
"
We are fighting a fight of faith together... not against flesh and
blood... but it is a fight of faith that we fight resisting the Evil
One while contending for the Gospel.
Jude 1:3 (NJB) " My dear friends, at a time
when I was eagerly looking forward to writing to you about the
salvation that we all share, I felt that I must write to you
encouraging you to fight hard for the faith which has been once and
for all entrusted to God's holy people.
Jude encouraged the church to come together in unity of the same
faith and fight hard for the faith. Share it... spread the Gospel
and stand for it. You must love Jesus more than your own life. To
have life, you have to be willing to give it.
We resist evil and make a stand for Jesus Christ... living the
Gospel... sharing the Gospel... fighting a spiritual war of faith in
Jesus' name in the same Gospel.
THE FOLLOWING HAS TO DO WITH CONTENDING WITH
THE FAITH. THERE ARE MANY FORCES THAT ARE SET AGAINST THE TRUTH OF
THE GOSPEL AND ANYONE WHO LIVES ACCORDING AND IN IT. THE SPIRIT OF
THIS WORLD IS SET AGAINST THE GOSPEL.
1 John 4:3-5; 1 John 5:4-5
Jude 1:4 " For there are certain men crept in
unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation,
ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and
denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. "
There were certain men crept into the church unaware. Satan moves in
the darkness and behind the scenes. His servants "creep" in. They
don't come in boldly and declare, "I am a
false teacher or prophet, come and be deceived by me!"
They come in slowly, secretly... usually with
just enough truth to catch you like using bait on a hook. And
once they get people to listen to them, they begin to deceive. There
are men and women who have demons either on or inside of them
leading them to error.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
These evil men appeared as ministers of righteousness... but their
message was false... their spirit was false... they led others away
from the truth of the Gospel. This is a warfare that is fought over
the Truth of the Gospel.
1 Timothy 4:1-2; Galatians 2:4
The Word tells us to be aware... to be vigilant... there is a reason
for this. 1 Peter 5:8; 1 Peter 4:6-7; 1
Thessalonians 5:6-9; Matthew 10:16
They had come into the church unawares... that is why that Jude had
to write this letter. He really wanted to share something uplifting
about the shared Gospel, but instead he had to share this letter of
warning with them because deceivers had come in trying to pull
others from the truth.
The most likely meaning to the before ago ordained to this
condemnation has to do with the prophetic declarations given by God
about the coming apostates and false prophets that would mislead so
many people especially in the last days.
They are condemned or have a sentence of damnation on them for
misleading people from the truth.

Continuing with Jude 1:4 " For there are
certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained
to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God
into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord
Jesus Christ. "
They were ungodly men who turned the grace of God into
lasciviousness. They claimed apparently that you could live in
sin as a sinner and because of the grace of God still be
righteous in His sight. Some have abused the doctrine of grace
to make a license to sin without any reaping what they have
sown. They are teaching and living a lie and leading others into
the same error.
They are unrighteous or ungodly men no matter what they appear
to be outwardly.
Romans 6:15 " What then? shall we sin,
because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. "
2 Timothy 3:5-7 " 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the
power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they
which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with
sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never
able to come to the knowledge of the truth. "
Those who have been led astray many times wants to teach... but
can themselves never come to the knowledge of the truth. Today,
we have more teachers than in any other generation. Which would
be okay if they were teaching the Word of God only.
But so many are teaching a mixture of worldly philosophies and a
slanted gospel that makes God a candy machine that has to
produce whatever we desire if we do the right formula of faith.
Or others mix New Age ideas and try to embrace false religions
with our own... doctrines of demons that are leading many
astray.
Ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the
truth. This is a sad commentary.
1 Timothy 1:8-11; Titus 2:11-13
The fullness of the matter is finished in 1 John. Don't let any
many deceive you, the one who is doing righteousness is
righteous, and the ones who are living a lifestyle of sin is of
the Devil.
1 John puts the reality in a Christian life like no other book
1 John 3:7-10 " 7 Little children, let no
man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even
as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil;
for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the
Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of
the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for
his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born
of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the
children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not
of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. "
This is the error that is spoken of in Revelation 2 of the
Nicolaitans and the error of Balaam. They taught people to give
into their carnality and that they were spiritually saved while
the body could enjoy sin. God said that He hated that teaching
and commended the churches that would not tolerate them.
Then he goes one more step about these
false teachers. It is a sign of the Last Days. Not only trying
to justify immorality, but also denying Jesus Christ and God.
The Spirit of Antichrist is centered on here. The Gnostics of
Jude's day was a problem for the church as they brought their
Platonic philosophies into the church and corrupted the true
Gospel. Today, the spirit of Antichrist is setting up the last
days one world religion that will encompass all the world
religions into a single one that accepts everyone and everybody,
but will at the end glorify the Antichrist and through him...
Satan himself.
The New Age philosophies that brings a
neopaganism (new witchcraft/pagan religion) into most religions
including Christianity. And there are some that are so
spiritually unaware in the church to realize that our numbers
have been infiltrated by these false teachers unawares.
There are many churches that are turning loose of the
fundamentals of the Christian faith and really make themselves
something other than a real church as Jesus is not being taught
as the Bible teaches anymore.
And if you teach biblical Christianity,
then you are branded a "fundy or fundie" (the modern equivalent
to holy roller) and considered at best politically incorrect,
and at worst dangerous by the world.
1 John 2:22 " Who is a liar but he that
denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth
the Father and the Son. "
2 Peter 2:1-2 " 1 But there were false prophets also among the
people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who
privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord
that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom
the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. "
Titus 1:15-16 " 15 Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto
them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but
even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 They profess that
they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable,
and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. "
This is the last days spirit of Antichrist that is convincing
people to deny Jesus in their very lifestyles many times.
Jude 1:5 " I will therefore put you in
remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having
saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed
them that believed not. "
1. Jude then goes on a narrative about those who in times past
had gone the way of error away from the truth of God. He begins
with an example that they already had heard.
The examples he begins to give are about the judgments of God
that were brought upon those who rejected God. The writer speaks
of both rejection of Jesus and God the Father (though there is
some argument over a few manuscripts over the rejection of God).
Those examples that he brings were of people who rejected God.
And the man of God points out that you once knew this. In other
words, it seems as if you have forgotten the examples that you
already had and allowed these false teachers to come in and lead
you astray.

Jude 1:5 " I will therefore put you in
remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord,
having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward
destroyed them that believed not. "
How many have known the truth and truly been redeemed, and
later led astray and had the enemy deceive them into leaving
the truth of God and denying God or Jesus either literally
or through their lifestyles?
Many that the Lord delivered out of Egypt wound up being
destroyed because of their unbelief and murmuring anc
complaining. They rejected God by their words and attitudes
"after" He had delivered them and destroyed themselves by
their works.
God made them wander 40 years and they met their destiny as
bleached bones in the wilderness. Their children was the
generation that was raised in their place that believed God
and possessed the promised land.
Hebrews 3:16-19; Hebrews 4:1-3;
Galatians 6:7-9 " 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he
that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap
life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. "
In any generation, false teachers and leaders that lead
people away from the truth of God will suffer the
consequences. And any who reject the Word of God to follow
error will reap the error of their walk as well.
Jude 1:6-7 " 6 And the angels which
kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation,
he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto
the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha,
and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves
over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set
forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal
fire. "
THE EXAMPLE OF THE ANGELS THAT ARE BOUND IN CHAINS IN THE
ABYSS RIGHT NOW!
Note : Parts of this section is from the "Days of Noah
Study" by James Dale Coldiron...
Copyrighted © June 2002 by James Dale Coldiron. This relates
directly to the Days of Noah.
Peter and Jude reference some things that can be found in
the book of Enoch. Enoch is part of a collection called the
Old Testament Pseudepigrapha. The word means false
signature. 1 Enoch is not believed by many scholars to be
actually written by Enoch himself, but written by someone
else and given Enoch's name as it is not believed that a
writing of Enoch's day could have survived. Personally, I
believe that at least 1 Enoch is a tradition handed down
from Enoch's day from Enoch (my opinion).
The truth is this, Jude and the letters of Peter are both
considered to be genuine by the church and part of our
Christian canon. And they both directly quote 1 Enoch as
being genuine and something that is inspired of God. The
apostles certainly believed that 1 Enoch was real. And
although the other books attributed to Enoch are somewhat
silly and fanciful, the book of 1 Enoch is completely
different.
It is full of some very radical history about angels and how
that they fell to lust with the daughters of men. But
Genesis bears this out that it is what happened. There are
spiritual ideas in 1 Enoch that are found in the Bible.
Although it is mentioned as being real and inspired by what
we believe are inspired letters in the Bible such as Jude, I
would personally recommend only using it as a reference.
The teaching of the nephilim that is found in Genesis and in
1 Samuel and others, and in the Apocryphal book of Baruch,
is also mentioned here. These fallen angels in the abyss
that are released as the 1st Woe of the Tribulation when the
abyss (bottomless pit) is opened are there because of a
special immoral sin that they committed that is the doctrine
of the nephilim.
Jude 1:6-7 (NIV) " 6 And the angels
who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned
their own home--these he has kept in darkness, bound with
everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7 In a
similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns
gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They
serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of
eternal fire. "
Jude 1:6-7 (NAS) " 6 And angels who did not keep their own
domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in
eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great
day. 7 Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around
them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross
immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an
example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. "
Jude 1:6-7 (Emphasized Bible) " 6 Messengers also, even them
who had not kept their own principality, but had forsaken
their proper dwelling, unto the judgment of the great day in
perpetual bonds under thick gloom, hath he reserved. 7 As,
Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, having in
like manner to these given themselves over to fornication,
and gone away after other kind of flesh, lie exposed as an
example, a penalty of age-abiding fire, undergoing. "
Jude as Peter obviously was using the book of 1 Enoch as
they both quote it directly... but the fact that they did
not bother to back up their usage of the ancient text shows
that it was expected that the reader would recognize and
accept it. In other words, the readers would well know these
things and well know this account from 1 Enoch that both
Peter and Jude was quoting and it was accepted at that time
that it was an accurate account.
The angels came down to Earth in the days of Jared in
mankind's earliest history after Adam. Jared was the father
of Enoch. And his name literally means "descent" or came
down. In Jared's days the angels were sent by God and they
came down to help mankind. But something happened. They did
not keep their positions or domain... the place that God had
given them. What did they do? They left their first estate
or principality and abandoned their proper abode or place.
Point of Interest :
These are not just fallen angels.
Fallen angels are among the principalities and powers and
the rulers of the darkness of this world that we must deal
with in Ephesians 6 and have our warfare with. We take the
whole armor of God to stand against the wiles of the Devil
and these spiritual antagonists. But they are not bound. The
Devil will be bound in the 1000 years of peace, but he is
not bound yet.
According to Revelation 12, there will be a war in the
heavens in the middle of the Tribulation where the Angels of
the Great Red Dragon (Satan) will have a war with Michael
the Archangel and his angels and they will be bound to the
Earth. Satan according to the Word goes to Heaven even now
and accuses the brethren. His fallen angels are active in
the universe including Earth right now. They are not bound,
yet. So, what special sin did this group of angel do to be
bound here? Their king in the abyss is named Abaddon or
Apollyon according to Revelation 9. They are there over a
similar sexual sin that Sodom and Gomorrah committed. They
left their rule to engage in immoral activity that God so
restricted, as to get them bound in chains of darkness even
now waiting for judgment.
WHAT WAS THE SPECIAL SIN OF THE ANGELS THAT PUT THEM IN
CHAINS OF DARKNESS, WHEN SATAN HIMSELF IS NOT BOUND SO?
IT WAS A SIN OF IMMORALITY AS SODOM
AND GOMORRAH SINNED... BY LEAVING WHAT WAS ORDAINED OF GOD
AND SEXUALLY SINNING THEY CONDEMNED THEMSELVES.
Just as Sodom and Gomorrah indulged in gross immorality and
perversion, the angels lost their positions of authority and
was bound because they did the same thing. Is this event
recorded in the Bible? YES IT IS!
The King James Version : Genesis 6:1-5
" 1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the
face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That
the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were]
fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with
man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an
hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also
after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters
of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became]
mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. 5 And GOD saw
that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and
[that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was]
only evil continually.
New Jerusalem Bible: Genesis 6:1-10 " 1 When people began
being numerous on earth, and daughters had been born to
them,
2 the sons of God, looking at the women, saw how beautiful
they were and married as many of them as they chose.
3 Yahweh said, 'My spirit cannot be indefinitely responsible
for human beings, who are only flesh; let the time allowed
each be a hundred and twenty years.'
4 The Nephilim were on earth in those days (and even
afterwards) when the sons of God resorted to the women, and
had children by them. These were the heroes of days gone by,
men of renown.
5 Yahweh saw that human wickedness was great on earth and
that human hearts contrived nothing but wicked schemes all
day long.
6 Yahweh regretted having made human beings on earth and was
grieved at heart.
7 And Yahweh said, 'I shall rid the surface of the earth of
the human beings whom I created -- human and animal, the
creeping things and the birds of heaven -- for I regret
having made them.'
8 But Noah won Yahweh's favour.
9 This is the story of Noah: Noah was a good man, an upright
man among his contemporaries, and he walked with God.
10 Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth."
The New American Standard : Genesis 6:1-5 (NAS) " 1 ¶ Now it
came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the
land, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of
God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they
took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.
3 ¶ Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man
forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days
shall be one hundred and twenty years."
4 ¶ The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also
afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of
men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty
men who were of old, men of renown. 5 Then the LORD saw that
the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every
intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually."
The word translated "giants" in the KJV is actually nephilim.
The word means a fallen race of tyrants. Now, many of them
were in fact giants. Goliath was one of them, and many of
them were reported as over 9 feet tall and built very large
indeed, just as warrior angels are.
The sons of God is mentioned here. This is interesting and
debatable. The origin of the nephilim or giants is
understood by understanding who the "sons of God" mentioned
here is.
The Hebrew beney ha 'elohim is
translated as sons of God. In the New Testament, a
Greek version of this is used to describe our relationship
to God as adopted children of God who have believed upon the
only begotten Son of God. But in the Old Testament, it had a
completely different connotation. It was a term used to
describe angelic beings.
Job 1:6; Job 2:1; Job 38:6-7 " 6
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid
the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang
together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? "
One false theory attributed to Augustine and others that
couldn't accept the reality of angelic/human sexual
relations that can easily be dismissed by a logical
application of the text is the idea that the sons of Seth
were the sons of God. And somehow the offspring of the
righteous sons of Seth somehow created unholy terrors known
as nephilim... giant reprobate monsters full of evil and
violence.
The idea was that before the flood these sons of Seth
created these. The problem is that the text says in those
days and afterward. After the flood there were nephilim,
too. Goliath was such a giant. The last of these Biblical
giants was slain by David and his assistant in battle. They
were destroyed by David's time. The historian Josephus not
only speaks of them but described the giant bones that were
on display at the Temple in the days of Christ.

MORE REFERENCES TO THE SIN OF THE BOUND ANGELS AND THEIR
RESULTS
Repeating: Jude 1:6-7 " 6 And the
angels which kept not their first estate, but left their
own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains
under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in
like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and
going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example,
suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. "
2 Samuel 21:18-22 " 18 And it came to pass after this,
that there was again a battle with the Philistines at
Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which
[was] of the sons of the giant. 19 And there was again a
battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the
son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew [the brother
of] Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear [was]
like a weaver's beam. 20 And there was yet a battle in
Gath, where was a man of [great] stature, that had on
every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four
and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea
the brother of David slew him. 22 These four were born
to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and
by the hand of his servants. " 6 toes and 6
fingers was an unusual side effect of some nephilim. I
know that this can be a simple birth defect... but it is
also a result of hybrid genetic meddling.
SOME VARIOUS NEPHILIM SCRIPTURES
Deuteronomy 2:19-21 " 19 And
[when] thou comest nigh over against the children of
Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I
will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon
[any] possession; because I have given it unto the
children of Lot [for] a possession. 20 (That also was
accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old
time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; 21 A
people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims ; but
the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded
them, and dwelt in their stead: "
Zamzummim means literally "plotters", or someone who
devises a plot. According to Thayer's, this is another
name for the Rephaim.
The Holman Bible Dictionary
says this, "ZAMZUMMIM (Zam zuhm' mihm) Name the
Ammonites gave to the Rephaim. They lived east of the
Jordan River until the Ammonites drove them out (Deut.
2:20). See Rephaim. " Deuteronomy 2:20 " (That also was
accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old
time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; "
Zamzummim might be the same as Zuzim. In Genesis 14:5,
Genesis 14:5 And in the fourteenth year came
Chedorlaomer, and the kings that [were] with him, and
smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims
in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim, " - Holman
Bible Dictionary
This Chedorlaomer is the king that Abraham defeated with
Yahweh's great help!
The
people listed here that the king went after here are
nephilim... held to be giants.
• rephaim... from rapha (healing) in the sense that they
were powerful and hard to kill. 1) giants, Rephaim 2)
old tribe of giants
• The Rephaim lived in Ashteroth Karnaim... "Ashtoreth
of the two horns or peaks". A city in Bashan east of the
Jordan given to Manasseh.
• Zuzim = "roving creatures", or restless and sprouting.
An ancient people of uncertain origin, perhaps,
inhabitants of an ancient Ammon east of the Jordan. This
is the same as Zamzummim who are in Deuteronomy told to
be giants as large as the Anakims.
• The Zuzim or Zamzummim lived in Ham... "hot" or "sunburnt".
The place where Chedorlaomer and his allies smote the
Zuzim, probably in the territory of the Ammonites, east
of the Jordan; site uncertain.
• Emims = 'Eymiym \@ay-meem'\ = "terrors". The ancient
inhabitants of Moab.
• They lived at Shaveh Kiriathaim = "plain of the double
or two city".
Deuteronomy 2:9-11 " 9 And the
LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither
contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of
their land [for] a possession; because I have given Ar
unto the children of Lot [for] a possession. 10 The
Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and
many, and tall, as the Anakims; 11 Which also were
accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call
them Emims. "
Giants dwelt there in old time. In old time. This is a
reference to the former age before the flood. IN
the old time, this was a stronghold for the nephilim.
The Holman Bible Dictionary on
Rephaim, " REPHAIM (Rehf' ay ihm) 1. Residents of Sheol,
often translated, "hades" or the "dead" (Job 26:5 NRSV;
Ps. 88:10; Prov. 9:18; 21:16; Isa. 14:9; 26:14,19). See
Sheol. 2. Ethnic designation of the pre-Israelite
inhabitants of Palestine, equivalent to the Anakim, the
Moabite term Emim (Deut. 2:10-11), and the Ammonite term
Zanzummim (2:20-21). Despite their reputation for might
and height, the Rephaim were defeated by a coalition of
eastern kings (Gen. 14:5) and were later displaced by
the Israelites (Deut. 3:11,13; compare Gen. 15:20) and
their distant kin, the Moabites (Deut. 2:10-11) and the
Ammonites (2:20-21).
KJV regularly translated Rephaim as "giants" (except
Gen. 14:5; 15:20 and some references to the valley or
land of the Rephaim). NASB and RSV used the translation
"giants" only in reference to individual giants in 2
Samuel and 1 Chronicles. NIV avoided the translation
"giant" completely, using "Rephaim" when referring to
the valley or land, "Rephaites" when referring to the
pre-Israelite inhabitants, and "descendant of Rapha" for
individuals in 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles. The artificial
distinction between Rephaites and descendant of Rapha
apparently attempts to ease the tension between the
designation of King Og of Bashan as the last of the
Rephaim (Deut. 3:11; Josh. 12:4) and the mention of
later descendants in 2 Samuel 21:16,18,20,22; 1
Chronicles 20:6,8. "
Deuteronomy 3:11 "For only Og king
of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his
bedstead [was] a bedstead of iron; [is] it not in
Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits [was] the
length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after
the cubit of a man. "
Joshua 12:4 " And the coast of Og king of Bashan, [which
was] of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at
Ashtaroth and at Edrei, "
2 Samuel 21:16-22 (KJS) And Ishbibenob, which [was] of
the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear
[weighed] three hundred [shekels] of brass in weight, he
being girded with a new [sword], thought to have slain
David. 17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him,
and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men
of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more
out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of
Israel. 18 And it came to pass after this, that there
was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then
Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which [was] of the
sons of the giant. 19 And there was again a battle in
Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of
Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew [the brother of]
Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear [was] like
a weaver's beam. 20 And there was yet a battle in Gath,
where was a man of [great] stature, that had on every
hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and
twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. 21
And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea
the brother of David slew him. 22 These four were born
to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and
by the hand of his servants. "
1 Chronicles 20:6-8 " 6 And yet again there was war at
Gath, where was a man of [great] stature, whose fingers
and toes [were] four and twenty, six [on each hand], and
six [on each foot]: and he also was the son of the
giant. 7 But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of
Shimea David's brother slew him. 8 These were born unto
the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David,
and by the hand of his servants. "
BACK
TO THE FALLEN ANGELS OF JUDE VERSE 6-7, AND THEIR SEXUAL
SIN... AND THE SCRIPTURAL REFERENCES TO THEM AND THEIR
SIN... AND THEIR FATE :
2 Peter 2:4-5 " 4 For if God
spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down
to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness,
to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old
world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of
righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of
the ungodly; "
2 Peter 2:9 " The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly
out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the
day of judgment to be punished: "
The word for Hell here is Tartarus...
which uses a Greek word for their thoughts on the
underground abode of the wicked dead in darkness... as
the Gehenna of the Jews. It is a place of outer darkness
where they are in chains of darkness.
Before Jesus rose again and led captivity captive, and
the righteous dead and their paradise taken into Heaven
where the Father is now, mankind was bound to this earth
and when they died, they went to a compartment in the
earth known as sheol. It was the place of the dead...
sometimes called the bosom of Abraham and paradise. It
was paradise, but still a prison.
Hell was in another compartment... a place of darkness
and fire and torment. And between them was this "gulf"
or abyss that could not be crossed. A region of darkness
and nothingness if you will that both kept the two
places separate. And it also was a special prison for
these angels that is more fortified than Hell. It is
like a locked (it took a key that a "star" (really an
angel) had in Revelation 9 to open it) abyss (abussos in
Greek) or bottomless pit that is powerful enough to hold
the mightiest angel, and its opening is upon the Earth.
It separated the two compartments of paradise and Hell
once, but now paradise is in Heaven with God... the
prisoners set free by Jesus Christ and redemption
throughout time. But Hell and the abyss are still there.
Hell has enlarged its borders, but the angelic prison of
dark nothingness still holds a number of these angels
who left their first estate.
Looking at the Genesis scriptures in detail...
Genesis 6:2 " That the sons of God
saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they
took them wives of all which they chose.
They saw the daughters of men
(another form of life than themselves). They literally
lusted after what they saw. They allowed themselves to
feel lust for human women and wound up falling. If you
believe books such as Enoch, God sent the angels to
teach early men skills and early technology and when
they fell taught them violence and witchcraft.
Jesus made it clear that the
angels did not have sexual activity in Heaven and when
we are resurrected that we will transcend that... there
is no giving in marriage in Heaven. It does not
mean that angels were not capable of it, or even able to
make themselves able to act sexually and maybe through
genetic manipulation... make human/angelic hybrids {nephilim}.
But in their non-fallen state,
they do not act so or are moved by human passions.
They took them wives... Hebrew ishshaw...
a woman for sexual purposes or a
wife. It doesn't just mean wife... it means it in
a sexual way. They took who they chose... they are the
early legends of the gods of Greece and Rome and
Babylonia and Egypt... gods who have sexual relations
who produce great heros or mighty men (giants) as
offspring such as the legend of Zeus and Hercules.
There is a violent connotation
even in this scripture. It seems like they were simply
abusing humanity as they willed.
Genesis 6:3 " And the LORD said,
My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he
also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and
twenty years. "
Some have interpreted this to mean that God decreased
their lifespans to 120 years. But if you read it... this
was the point where God decided to destroy the earth
with a flood and it took that long for Noah to build the
Ark.
Genesis 6:4 " There were giants in the earth in those
days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in
unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to
them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old,
men of renown.
Genesis 6:4 (NAS) " 4 ¶ The Nephilim were on the earth
in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God
came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children
to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men
of renown."
The Hebrew word nephilim comes
from a root word nahpal which means fallen or cast down,
or to fall short and be rotten. They were
giants... evil tyrants literally. Some have thought the
name comes from the angels who fell from heaven who
spawned them. Others think it means that they were
reprobate and fallen at birth with no hope.
Actually the Apocryphal book of Baruch (the man who was
Jeremiah's scribe) says that they will have no
resurrection and will lie in the dust of the Earth for
God did not choose them. They aren't human in other
words.
They were all evil. Did you ever notice that there were
some places in Palestine where God told the Children of
Israel to kill absolutely everyone down to the children?
If you read carefully, you will find that those places
were places where nephilim lived. God was trying to
destroy their seed off the Earth before they corrupted
humanity's blood line.
The nephilim was an attempt of Satan to destroy the
prophecy of God to the woman that her seed would crush
his head. He tried to taint mankind's bloodline with a
hybrid, evil race. And since warrior angels are bigger
than normal humans (gigantic in fact), their offspring
are huge as well.
Mighty men who are the legends from the old world. They
are the basis of the old legends of the gods and their
monstrous offspring (Cyclops and Hercules for example).
Genesis 6:5 " And GOD saw that the
wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that]
every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was]
only evil continually. "
Wickedness of man was great in the Earth... this is the
format of the days of Noah. The race had become so
corrupted that only evil was in the heart and thoughts
of men continually.
There was not a time when evil was not rampant in
them... this is the hallmark of the days of Noah.
Much of the reason is that the race itself was quickly
being corrupted... and if there was any nephilim in your
blood, then you were not human but a nephilim.
Genesis 6:6-7 " 6 And it repented
the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it
grieved him at his heart. 7 And the LORD said, I will
destroy man whom I have created from the face of the
earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and
the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have
made them. "
There was so much corruption that God was willing to
wipe the slate clean and start over while preserving the
animal life and the few humans that were untouched by
this evil.
Genesis 6:8-10 " 8 But Noah found
grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These [are] the
generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect
in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God. 10 And
Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. "
Noah found grace... he and
Enoch were 2 of the few who were said to have walked
with God. The reference perfect in his generations might
be a reference to the fact that his family was still
pure human. It would be as if some alien influence was
corrupting the genetic code of humanity, and Noah and
his family was all that was left that was wholly human
and not corrupted.
The rest of the world had the
characteristic of being evil in nature... violently evil
to where they filled the earth with violence and death.
Lust and violence were the hallmarks of Noah's Day.
But deliverance to Noah and the righteous was also a
hallmark of the Days of Noah... Noah found grace and his
family. Are we walking with God? Will we find grace in
this hour?
One of the most frightening things that Jesus said was,
‘as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in
the days of the son of man' - Luke 17:26. This is
the main thing that was happening in the days of Noah
that corrupted the human blood line.
Humanity was corrupted into a
hybrid race that was evil at its nature.
Going after "strange flesh".
That which is not natural. The angels which sinned, went
after sexual pleasure with women that they took... human
women and a hybrid race of tyrants, the nephilim was the
result. Sodom and Gomorrah went
after strange flesh.
They were so far from the norm that is seen in nature
that God created... and designed us for, that Lot's two
daughters were married to two men and were still virgins
when they lived in Sodom.
Men went after men, and women after women to the point
to where the entire society was demonized and totally
corrupt. The people that went into Sodom with Lot had
all been corrupted... every last one of them, and even
Lot's wife did not succeed in escaping the destruction,
but looked back.
Luke 17:32 " Remember Lot's wife.
"
Genesis 19:17 " And it came to pass, when they had
brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy
life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the
plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
Genesis 19:25-26 " 25 And he overthrew those cities, and
all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities,
and that which grew upon the ground. 26 But his wife
looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of
salt. "
Fire completely destroyed the cities of the plain, as
what we would describe as being similar to a super
nuclear bomb in the valley that would become the Dead
Sea... so full of minerals today.
God brought destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and
judgment upon the angels that sinned with humanity and
they wait for judgment according to
2 Peter. The watchers
corrupted themselves.
The end equation is this... when iniquity, or spiritual
sin of this magnitude is so completely embraced by any
people, they bring and hasten even the judgment of a
holy God.
They will suffer the vengeance of eternal fire.
There have been times in Earth's history when immorality
was allowed to go rampant, and that rampant lust
destroyed the good in the Earth. True love and the love
of God was dismissed for this lust. Violence came forth
from it as well. And evil was allowed to grow without
restraint. There is a lustful... seducing side of evil
that feels good to people, but if allowed to go
unchecked brings forth the rest of evil... violence and
hatred, etc. to the point where there is no good left.
These false teachers of the last days in the same way
will lead others into gross immorality into doing things
that bring destruction that feel good to the flesh, but
will end with judgment and destruction. Remember the
vengeance of eternal fire.

THEIR FALSE TEACHINGS
Jude 1:8 " Likewise also these
[filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise
dominion, and speak evil of dignities. "
Jude 1:8 (NAS) " ¶ Yet in the same manner these men,
also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject
authority, and revile angelic majesties. "
Jude 1:8 (Emphasized Bible ) " ¶ In like manner,
nevertheless, even these, in their dreamings, flesh
indeed defile, while lordship they set aside, and
dignities they defame."
Jude 1:8 (NIV) " In the very same way, these
dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority
and slander celestial beings."
These are the characteristics of these false
teachers and the seducing spirit that is behind
them. They have a certain manner and character about
them. This last days spirit is within these that
have infiltrated the church, and this warning is
about them.
This is the hallmark of these
false ones.
These men in the same manner... operating under the
same evil, immoral spirit will move through them and
these are the things that they will do :
In their dreamings... in their dreams... this is
interesting. The word for Dreaming is enupniazomai,
which is to dream and here metaphorically as being
seduced by sexual dreams. Their sensual dreams
seduce them into iniquity.
Some have believed that this
reference shows that some of their false doctrines
came from demonically inspired dreams and visions
that gave these false prophets their false
doctrines.
The New Jerusalem Bible says "delusions"...
and although might not be as directly accurate,
might be more descriptive of what they were.
They defile their flesh.
Spiritual iniquity {especially immoral iniquity}
defiles the flesh of the person involved. You are
actually sinning against your own flesh along with
sinning against God.
Jude 1:8 (NJB) " Nevertheless,
these people are doing the same: in their delusions
they not only defile their bodies and disregard
Authority, but abuse the Glories as well. "
In their delusions,
they not only defile their own bodies and disregard
authority, but abuse the glories as well. It is a
spirit of Antichrist that sets itself against God
and His holiness.
Good is called and considered
evil... holy things are regarded as evil, and evil
things are embraced as being good. It is a total
reversal of truth... a delusion... well translated
indeed.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 " 16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and
[that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any
man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy;
for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye
are"
1 Timothy 1:10 " For whoremongers, for them that
defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for
liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any
other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; "
1 Corinthians 6:16-19 " 16 What? know ye not that he
which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two,
saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is
joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee
fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without
the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth
against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your
body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in
you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
"
2 Peter 2:9-10 " 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver
the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the
unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the
lust of uncleanness, and despise government.
Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not
afraid to speak evil of dignities. "
Quite literally, not only are
they polluting their souls, but their bodies as
well. It is the same error of the angels that are
bound in the Abyss, and the inhabitants of Sodom and
Gomorrah who brought fiery destruction upon
themselves.
They rejected and resisted those who were in
authority who did teach the truth. They quite
literally despise those who have godly rule... in
other words, righteous authority. They as Jezebel to
Elijah hated righteous authority because it takes
power away from them to deceive.
This is very similar to the spirit of Jezebel seen
working at the Church in Thyatira in Revelation 2.
They despise not only those in power, but the
government and authority itself. That authority is
what God has put into place to keep false teachers
from thriving.
Colossians 1:16 " For by him
were all things created, that are in heaven, and
that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether
[they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities,
or powers: all things were created by him, and for
him: "
1 Thessalonians 4:7-8 " 7 For God hath not called us
unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. 8 He therefore
that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath
also given unto us his holy Spirit. "
Hebrews 13:17 " Obey them that have the rule over
you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your
souls, as they that must give account, that they may
do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is]
unprofitable for you. "
Revelation 2:20 " Notwithstanding I have a few
things against thee, because thou sufferest that
woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess,
to teach and to seduce my servants to commit
fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto
idols. "
1 Peter 2:10-17 " 10 Which in time past [were] not a
people, but [are] now the people of God: which had
not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 11
Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and
pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war
against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest
among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against
you as evildoers, they may by [your] good works,
which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of
visitation.
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for
the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as
supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are
sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for
the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the
will of God, that with well doing ye may put to
silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free,
and not using [your] liberty for a cloke of
maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 17 Honour
all [men]. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour
the king. "
Speaking evil of dignities... evil is declared to be
good and good is declared to be evil. Holy things
and the things connected to God are despised.
Titus 1:15 " Unto the pure all
things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled
and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their
mind and conscience is defiled. "
2 Timothy 3:1-5 " 1 This know also, that in the last
days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady,
highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of
God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the
power thereof: from such turn away. "
Jesus said this, Luke 10:16 "
He that heareth you heareth me; and he that
despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me
despiseth him that sent me. "
Isaiah 5:20 " Woe unto them
that call evil good, and good evil; that put
darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put
bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto
[them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent
in their own sight! "
From the rebellion of those who still stay in the
church and reject the truth of God's Word to the
open blasphemy of open rebellion of certain groups
putting down things that are holy... there is a
spirit of evil that spurs people to speak evil of
good things.

Jude 1:9-10 " 9 Yet
Michael the archangel, when contending with the
devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst
not bring against him a railing accusation, but
said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which
they know not: but what they know naturally, as
brute beasts, in those things they corrupt
themselves. "
This continues on with the idea of speaking evil
of dignities. The spirit of the age has no
problem to criticize anything... including
things of God. It becomes easy to murmur and
complain and tear down... and the habit grows
until people forget to be afraid of God... and
then criticize God and God's people and will.
Even the Principality of Israel... Michael the
Archangel did not give a railing accusation
against Satan (and if you could to anyone, you
could to Satan), but he used the authority of
the Lord that God had given him. The Lord rebuke
you... I am come as the Lord's servant in this
and I bring you this message... the Lord is
rebuking you!
2 Peter 2:11-15 " Whereas
angels, which are greater in power and might,
bring not railing accusation against them before
the Lord. 12 But these, as natural brute beasts,
made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of
the things that they understand not; and shall
utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And
shall receive the reward of unrighteousness,
[as] they that count it pleasure to riot in the
day time. Spots [they are] and blemishes,
sporting themselves with their own deceivings
while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full
of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin;
beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have
exercised with covetous practices; cursed
children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way,
and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam
[the son] of Bosor, who loved the wages of
unrighteousness; "
People feel arrogant as if they can rebuke
anything and anyone and feel justified in doing
it... not realizing that they are operating in
the evil spirit of the Last Days that tears down
holy things of God. They risk pulling down the
same destruction upon themselves as the others
mentioned before this.
1 Corinthians 2:14 " But
the natural man receiveth not the things of the
Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto
him: neither can he know [them], because they
are spiritually discerned. "
1 Peter 3:9 " Not rendering evil for evil, or
railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing;
knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye
should inherit a blessing. "
They speak evil of things they don't know of...
in other words, it does not matter that they
really do not understand what they are
criticizing, they just criticize and wind up
opposing God... the one unopposable One in the
universe. It brings personal destruction after a
time.
Romans 1:21-22 " 21
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified
[him] not as God, neither were thankful; but
became vain in their imaginations, and their
foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools,
They use their natural knowledge and earthly
wisdom... as brute beasts... with no spiritual
discernment... not understanding that they are
CORRUPTING THEMSELVES. The corruption grows.
Jude 1:11 " Woe unto them!
for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran
greedily after the error of Balaam for reward,
and perished in the gainsaying of Core. "
Woe unto them... a woe or kind of curse is
spoken upon them here... woe unto them... there
is doom coming in the judgment of God. It is one
thing to have the enemy coming against you, but
it is a much more horrible thing to have the
Lord resisting you!
The judgment of God is upon them, why? Why? Then
he continues to give us comparisons to other
well known characters in scriptures who walked
in a similar spirit and fashion... showing a
similar judgment coming as well.
They have gone the way of Cain. There is a lot
in this.
Genesis 4:3-8 " 3 And in
process of time it came to pass, that Cain
brought of the fruit of the ground an offering
unto the LORD. 4 And Abel, he also brought of
the firstlings of his flock and of the fat
thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and
to his offering: 5 But unto Cain and to his
offering he had not respect. And Cain was very
wroth, and his countenance fell.
6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou
wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7 If
thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and
if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.
And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou
shalt rule over him.
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it
came to pass, when they were in the field, that
Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew
him. "
Cain was self-righteous, and his brother Abel
was a righteous man. Cain hated his brother...
Cain was jealous of his brother's favor with God
and eventually his hatred and jealousy rose unto
he decided his hatred had to be fed. He
destroyed a good man... instead of repenting and
walking in righteousness himself, he destroyed
the reminder of his own evil.
His judgment came after this...
Genesis 4:9-16 " 9 And the
LORD said unto Cain, Where [is] Abel thy
brother? And he said, I know not: [Am] I my
brother's keeper? 10 And he said, What hast thou
done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth
unto me from the ground. 11 And now [art] thou
cursed from the earth, which hath opened her
mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy
hand; 12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall
not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a
fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the
earth. 13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My
punishment [is] greater than I can bear. 14
Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from
the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I
be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond
in the earth; and it shall come to pass, [that]
every one that findeth me shall slay me. 15 And
the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever
slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him
sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain,
lest any finding him should kill him. 16 And
Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and
dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. "
He had to leave the favor and presence of the
Lord... he had to leave his home... he was
marked... he became a vagabond and fugitive from
that day until the day that he died. He lost any
chance of any happiness... he ate what he had
sown.
They ran "greedily" after the "error" of Balaam
for reward. The prophet who got more interested
in "profit" than being the man of God. It isn't
money that is the root of all evil, but it is
the love of money. The love of money... greed...
that is an error...
This man of God fell... he left the truth to
receive a reward from King Balak. He couldn't
curse the children of Israel outright, but he
told the king how to seduce them into sin.
Later, he would fall with his new friends in
death... and be labeled a soothsayer instead of
a prophet.
Money will be a primary interest of this group.
And they will try and use new teachings to bring
them into wealth. 1
Timothy 6:10-12 " 10 For the love of money is
the root of all evil: which while some coveted
after, they have erred from the faith, and
pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and
follow after righteousness, godliness, faith,
love, patience, meekness. 12 Fight the good
fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called, and hast
professed a good profession before many
witnesses. "
Numbers 31:16 " Behold, these caused the
children of Israel, through the counsel of
Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in
the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among
the congregation of the LORD. "
Numbers 31:8 " And they slew the kings of Midian,
beside the rest of them that were slain;
[namely], Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and
Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son
of Beor they slew with the sword. "
Jude 1:11 (NAS) " Woe to them! For they have
gone the way of Cain, and for pay they have
rushed headlong into the error of Balaam, and
perished in the rebellion of Korah.
They had perished in the rebellion of Korah.
They would be political and try and oust the
true leadership that God has placed. This is the
spirit of rebellion. You see that today in
children who rebel against parents... wives who
try and control their wives... husbands who
bully their wives... church bosses who try and
control the pastor; it is a rebellion against
the authority that God has installed.
Numbers 26:9-10 " 9 And
the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and
Abiram. This [is that] Dathan and Abiram, [which
were] famous in the congregation, who strove
against Moses and against Aaron in the company
of Korah, when they strove against the LORD: 10
And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed
them up together with Korah, when that company
died, what time the fire devoured two hundred
and fifty men: and they became a sign. "
This is when they rose up against Moses, and
they wound up eaten by the Earth and all that
went with them. These that follow this spirit
rise up against the authority and the truth and
leadership of God and try to get others to
follow.

Jude 1:12-13 " 12 These are spots in your feasts of
charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds
[they are] without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit
withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to
whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. "
These are "spots. Look at this:
Jude 1:12 (NAS) These men are those who are hidden
reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for
themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees
without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; "
Jude 1:12 (Emphasized Bible) " These are they—who, in your love-feasts, are
hidden rocks, as they fare sumptuously together, fearlessly, themselves,
shepherding,—clouds without water, by winds swept along, trees autumnal,
fruitless, twice dead, uprooted,"
This word spot in the KJV is the Greek word spilades, which can be
translated a rocky cliff, or a blemish. Either idea is
applicable. They are blemishes upon that which should be holy and
full of love. In translating it as a hidden reefs, the idea is a rocky cliff
which a ship gets smashed against. These are cliffs to trap people unaware
and shipwreck them. 1 Timothy 1:18-19 " 18 This charge
I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went
before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; 19 Holding
faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith
have made shipwreck: "
At your feasts of charity or love... at your love feasts, they feast among
you without fear as hidden reefs becoming a danger of shipwreck to those
around them. They seem right, they sound right, they
look right, but they are evil servants of sin who dress themselves as
servants of righteousness.
The enemy is not attacking from without, but instead from within. And the
reality is that these seducing servants of sin know the "churchese
speech", and they know the look and without fear sit among them.
Now there is an inherent danger in doing this. If you are in a church that
is not full of God's presence, then you can get away with it a bit longer (but
eventually everyone reaps what they sow). But if you make the error
of hypocritically sitting among the righteous trying to deceive from the
inside when the glory of God is manifesting, then it is a good way to die
suddenly.
Galatians 6:7-8 " 7 Be not deceived; God is not
mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that
soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth
to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. "
Acts 5:1-5 " 1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold
a possession, 2 And kept back [part] of the price, his wife also being privy
[to it], and brought a certain part, and laid [it] at the apostles' feet. 3
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the
Holy Ghost, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it
remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine
own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not
lied unto men, but unto God. 5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down,
and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these
things. "
These love feasts were meals that the churches had together in relation with
the Lord's Supper. They were eating together without fear... a foolish thing
to do.
Clouds without water... they seem to have a use, but
they are devoid of any good. They are clouds without water. There is
no good in these clouds. There is no substance in who they are. They have
the form without the reality. They have a "form of godliness", but deny the
power thereof.
2 Peter 2:17 " These are wells without water, clouds
that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved
for ever. "
Ephesians 4:14 " That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and
fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
[and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; "
They are carried about with the winds. They are blows here and there, but
have no reality to them... no goodness in them.
They are trees that has rotten fruit. Their tree withers... and then without
fruit. Let's look at it.
Psalm 1:1-4 " 1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not
in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor
sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight [is] in the law of
the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be
like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in
his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall
prosper.
4 The ungodly [are] not so: but [are] like the chaff which the wind driveth
away. "
Matthew 3:10 " And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and
cast into the fire. "
John 15:4-6 " 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit
of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in
me. 5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in
him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and
men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned. "
And this one especially shows the full truth of what is being said of these.
Jesus said this, Matthew 7:17-21 " 17 Even so every
good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil
fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt
tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good
fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye
shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven. "
They are the reality of the metaphor of the fig tree that Jesus used as an
example when he cursed it to the root for having no fruit. They look like
lush trees, but their fruit is either rotten or nonexistent.
THEY ARE
TWICE DEAD AND PLUCKED UP BY THE ROOTS!
They are twice dead, and the twice dead is an emphasis on how spiritually
dead that they really are. There is death in their words. There is death
coming from them spiritually.
In the plucked up by the roots reference, go back to
John 15 again. God the Father is the farmer or husbandman. And He
isn't just cutting them down, but He is plucking them up by the root so that
they cannot ever grow again. God is going to remove them from the root.
Matthew 15:13 " But he answered and said, Every plant,
which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. "
WE HAVE BEEN POISONED BY DEAD RELIGION! WE HAVE BEEN POISONED BY FALSE
TEACHERS WHO TEACH RELIGION WITHOUT THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD, AND
WITHOUT THE REALITY OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD! THEY WILL BE DESTROYED...
TURN AWAY FROM THEM OR YOU WILL JOIN THEM IN THEIR
DAMNATION.
2 John 1:10-11 " 10 If there come any unto you, and
bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him
God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil
deeds. "
2 Timothy 3:5 " Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away. "
Jude 1:13 " Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering
stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. "
Raging waves of the seas... without stability... bringing destruction as
they come and go. They are the servants of chaos, with no stability. God
wants us to be stable in Him. God does not want us to wander here and there
and follow this and that, and stray from the truth.
James 1:6-8 " 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that
wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For
let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A
double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways. "
Isaiah 57:20 " But the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot
rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. "
Foaming out their own shame. Like the foam that
is brought by the chaotic waves, it shows up its own shame eventually. The
analogy is striking. The waves bring the froth of pollution and filth upon
the shores showing its ugliness.
Wandering stars that are chaotic and stable.
You cannot get a true fix on them like you can a true star. You cannot chart
your course with a wandering star. It might seem stable, but when you start
to rely upon it... then it moves.
This promise of destruction is frightening. It is ‘RESERVED' to them
forever... the blackness of darkness. This is more than just a redundant
description. There is a depth to this that is terrible.
Jude 1:13 (Emphasized Bible) " Wild waves of sea,
foaming out their own infamies, wandering stars, for whom the gloom of
darkness age-abiding hath been reserved.
This references back to 2 Peter again... 2 Peter 2:17
" These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to
whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. "
Peter said the mist of darkness is reserved for them.
Keep root is tereo, which is to keep or guard or be reserved. It is theirs
and will be kept for them. It is a very solid promise of doom. Blackness is
Greek zophos, which is the misty darkness of the nether world.
Darkness is skotos, which is the darkness of night or
even the darkness of blindness at times. This is a very potent promise of a
curse.
This kind of darkness you find both in Hell and in the Abyss.
Matthew 22:13 " Then said the king to the servants,
Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast [him] into outer
darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. "
Matthew 25:30 " And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. "

Jude 1:14 " And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam,
prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands
of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly
among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed,
and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken
against him. "
This is a direct quote from the book of 1 Enoch {a book from the
collection called the Pseudepigrapha which we have discussed before
this}. This quote is an apocalyptic prophecy by the author of 1 Enoch
(that Jude apparently completely accepted as being genuine) about the
return of the Lord to bring judgment upon the ungodly at what we call
"Armageddon".
The prophecy goes along wonderfully with the rest of Biblical
Apocalyptic scripture.
You must understand that Jude is a book written as a warning to the Last
Days. And although from Jude's days (the last days are literally the
last 2 thousand years before the thousand years of peace).
1 Enoch 1:9 " And behold! He cometh with ten
thousands of His holy ones
To execute judgement upon all,
And to destroy all the ungodly:
And to convict all flesh
Of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed,
And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against
Him."
Compare to :
Jude 1:14-15 (KJV) " 14 And Enoch also, the
seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying,
Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all,
and to convince all that are ungodly among them
of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed,
and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken
against him. "
This warning is speaking of the judgment upon those who follow the
Antichrist and are destroyed with him at the end. In this end times last
generation at the end of the Last Days, we are seeing a culmination of
these words coming upon us... it is coming... He is coming back!
This is the same Enoch that walked with God and was not... the seventh
from Adam in the first age of humanity.
Genesis 5:18-25 " 18 And Jared lived an hundred
sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: 19 And Jared lived after he
begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 20 And
all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he
died.
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 22 And
Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and
begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three
hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he [was]
not; for God took him. "
Hebrews 11:5-6 " 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see
death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his
translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without
faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek him. "
Enoch was a man who was closest to God than anyone else in his age. He
literally walked with God as Adam did before Adam fell. Of course, Enoch
had been born into sin, but he literally loved God so much that God took
personal time with Enoch.
Enoch was translated according to Hebrews...
Greek meaning is to transfer over, or pass over... quite literally,
Enoch as not seen death yet (he will... for it is appointed to all once
to die, and then the judgment). There is prophetic significance in this
that would be better suited for an eschatological study.
The fact is that God and Enoch had a special relationship, and Jude here
with Apostolic authority held that these words found in 1 Enoch were
genuinely by the actual Enoch. If the book of 1 Enoch was written by
Enoch, or his words and tradition were handed down and recorded by
another is not clearly known. But it was accepted by Jude (and Peter)
that it was actually Enoch's words.
The content of this scripture is very pointed. The book of Jude is quite
rightly placed in our Bible before the book of Revelation. It is a
statement of the condition of the world in the Last Days and especially
coming to a head in the last generation before that last 7 years of
Tribulation.
And these scriptures have not only described these dangerous people who
would infiltrate the church, but here speak of their ultimate judgment
and demise.
Jude 1:14 (Emphasized Bible) " But the seventh
from Adam, Enoch, prophesied, even of these, saying—Lo! the Lord hath
come with his holy myriads,—"
[1] The Lord comes with ten thousands or myriads... a great number of
His Saints. He is coming back with His Saints to bring judgment. The
Saints are coming back here. This is not a reference to the catching
away of the Saints... but the return of them with Jesus to the Earth in
judgment.
Many, many Saints returning with the Lord... this is the event that we
connect with Armageddon... when the armies of the world gather together
in Megiddo and will instead of turning on one another, turn together
against the Lord and be destroyed. It is the wrath of God... and their
blood will be the wine from the winepress. Many will die on the Earth on
that day... and the Antichrist and False Prophet will be cast alive into
the Lake of Fire.
[2] To execute judgment upon all. It is the culmination of
Daniel 9:24-27... to bring judgment upon
all the ungodly. To end the judgment.
All of those who have rejected God and lived in iniquity and enjoyed
doing so, they will all receive judgment on that day.
Revelation 22:12 " And, behold, I come quickly;
and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work
shall be.
Revelation 19:12-16 " 12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his
head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew,
but he himself. 13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:
and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies [which were]
in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white
and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he
should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and
he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF
KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. "
THIS
IS THE DAY OF THE LORD! IT IS A DAY OF TERROR TO THOSE IN REBELLION TO
GOD.
[3] To convict (convince of their sin) the ungodly among them of their
ungodly deeds. To convict them of their ungodly speeches... it will be a
time of great blasphemy. Ungodly sinners ungodly committed. There will
be a great hate toward God and godly things. But on that day, the way of
their error will be revealed in blazing fire.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 " 9 [Even him], whose
coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying
wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might
be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who
believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. "
Romans 2:5-6 " 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest
up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the
righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to
his deeds: "
Revelation 16:9 " And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed
the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented
not to give him glory. "
Revelation 13:5-6 " 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking
great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue
forty [and] two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against
God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in
heaven. "
The blasphemy of the end will grow to the extreme where God will be
hated and blasphemed outright by many, and they will see and understand
the great foolishness of speaking evil of the Lord at the end. Their
hard speeches of ungodliness will come to a sudden end at the Day of the
Lord.

Jude 1:16 " These are murmurers, complainers,
walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great
swelling [words], having men's persons in admiration because of
advantage. "
The personality of these Last Days enemies of the Lord that will
infiltrate the church:
[1] Murmurers... complaining in complete
discontent. Murmuring is hated by God and is the tool that
Satan used to destroy the generation that could have entered into
the Promised Land, but instead because of their great lack of faith
shown through it... perished in the desert.
1 Corinthians 10:10 " Neither murmur ye, as
some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. "
Murmuring is sharing your misery with the world. Murmuring is that
spirit of discontent that expects evil and speaks evil of everything
and everybody. It is the spirit behind gossip and tearing others
down. 1 John equates tearing others down with murder. Murmuring is
that droning sound of complaint as you are not happy with anything.
There are people who are not happy no matter what and their voices
are constantly either on edge or complaining about everything. It
will be a hallmark of these that are going to be destroyed by Jesus
at the end that they will complain and murmur about everything.
Murmuring is Anti-faith in action! It is
Antichristian by nature.
[2] Complainers... remember that these have
been set in the church. This is a hallmark of the last church age...
one that is apostate and falling away from God and the faith. They
will be complainers.
Philippians 2:14-15 " 14 Do all things without
murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless,
the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and
perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; "
Romans 16:17 " Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause
divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have
learned; and avoid them. "
When people complain about everything and everybody and murmur (buzz
their complaints to all), then they are worldly as much as the
person who goes out in almost no clothing trying to seduce.
They are just as worldly, for this is a worldly spirit. The spirit
of this world is a complaining spirit... just as its master, the
Devil is the accuser. When people are accusing and complaining and
always negative, then they are operating in the Devil's spirit...
and if we do not repent will wind up with the Devil's fate.
It is the spirit of Korah that ended in destruction as the Earth
opened up and swallowed them.
[3] Walking after their own lusts. This
makes sense considering the lusts of the flesh cannot ever be
satisfied. The more that you give yourself over to them, the more
you must sin to satisfy them in the future, for it is the nature of
the flesh to never be satisfied.
This is the center of their motivation... they are like puppets...
the Devil is the puppet master, and the person is manipulated by
strings of their own sins... the weaknesses that allow them to
become a puppet of evil is their own lusts.
They walk after their own lusts. And that by nature puts them in
opposition to God and His light. In fact, it makes them selfish and
non-caring about others. It is this lack of unselfish love that
leads to murmuring and complaining.
1 Peter 2:11 " Dearly beloved, I beseech [you]
as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war
against the soul; "
2 Peter 3:3-4 " 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the
last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying,
Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell
asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the
creation. "
[4] Their mouths speaking great swelling
words. They are seducing by their words. As they lift up
their own religion and attack the true faith of God, they speak
these seducing words (much as Hitler did to Germany before World War
II).
2 Peter 2:18 " For when they speak great
swelling [words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the
flesh, [through much] wantonness, those that were clean escaped from
them who live in error. "
[5] Men's persons in admiration because
of advantage... they are political. There is a political
instead of a spiritual nature to what they do.
1 Timothy 6:5 " Perverse disputings of men of
corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is
godliness: from such withdraw thyself. "
2 Peter 2:1-3 " 1 But there were false prophets also among the
people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily
shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought
them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall
follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth
shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make
merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not,
and their damnation slumbereth not. "
James 2:1-9 " 1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus
Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons. 2 For if there
come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel,
and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 3 And ye have
respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit
thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or
sit here under my footstool: 4 Are ye not then partial in
yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? 5 Hearken, my
beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in
faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that
love him? 6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress
you, and draw you before the judgment seats? 7 Do not they blaspheme
that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 9 But if ye have respect
to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as
transgressors. "
Although God created government in the church to keep order, He is
not and will never be political. Political games where we shun some
and embrace others to please others for advantage is worldly. It is
the Jezebel spirit of the last days who is moving to control through
political power the church.
When a church allows political forces to direct it instead of the
Holy Spirit, then it falls into the category of,
" having a form of godliness and denying the
power thereof."

Jude 1:17-19 " 17 But, beloved, remember
ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our
Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last
time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not
the Spirit. "
We are reminded of the warning of Jesus given to us concerning
these same people :
There would be mockers in the last time. We are living in that
generation that people ridicule and mock Godly things... holy
living is thought of at best as silly, at worst as dangerous.
Evil is seeping into people's hearts and the things of God are
being hated.
Even in the church world, many become angry at those who refuse
to give into the New Age view of accepting all even if they do
not believe that Jesus is truly the Way, Truth and Life as He
said.
Those who accept the truth of the Word of
God are called "fundies"
these days as a slur against being Fundamentalist (believing
that the original scriptures are divinely inspired and without
error... or in other words believing the fundamentals of the
faith of the Lord Jesus Christ).
There are even those in fundamentalist churches that mock others
who have had a real outpouring of the Spirit. Instead of
becoming hungry and seeking God themselves, they throw stones at
others who have a real touch and move of God... they have gone
the way of Cain.
The truth today is hated and mocked.
Even those who have been taught better will mock holy things
today without fear... the name of the Lord mocked and used in
vain with no fear of retribution... unaware of the doom that
they are bringing upon themselves.
Psalm 14:1 " To the chief Musician, [A
Psalm] of David. The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no
God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there
is] none that doeth good. "
2 Timothy 3:1-5 " 1 This know also, that in the last days
perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their
own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of
those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness,
but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. "
2 Timothy 4:3-4 " 3 For the time will come when they will not
endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap
to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall
turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto
fables. "
1 John 4:6 " We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he
that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of
truth, and the spirit of error. "
The mockers are following their "own"
ungodly lusts... the lusts in their fleshly nature are in
opposition to God. Demonic spirits use
those weaknesses and make them worse, but it is the
nature that likes to sin that is
given free reign to sin that brings this evil.
Jude 1:18-19 (NAS) " 18 that they were
saying to you, "In the last time there shall be mockers,
following after their own ungodly lusts." 19 These are the ones
who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit."
These cause divisions (separate themselves
in the KJV)... there is no division in the Body of Christ. When
you make a division, you pull a part off from the body for the
body is not divided.
Hebrews 10:25 " Not forsaking the
assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is];
but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the
day approaching. "
1 Corinthians 1:12-13 " 12 Now this I say, that every one of you
saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of
Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or
were ye baptized in the name of Paul? "
This is one of the works of the flesh.
Galatians 5:19-20 (NAS) " 19 Now the deeds
of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity,
sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy,
outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, "
Dissensions and factions... this is the causing divisions. Those
who follow the Spirit of God do so in unity, for God brings the
unity. If we disagree and then pray about it, then we come into
agreement for in the end... generally speaking we are wrong and
God is right... and prayer will bring us into agreement.
Having not the Spirit. This is pretty clear, isn't it?
Romans 8:9 " But ye are not in the flesh,
but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
"
John 6:63 " It is the spirit that
quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak
unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life. "
They claim to be spiritual... they are
political... they sit with the church in their love feasts...
they try to lead... they claim to have truth... but they lead
into error... they are sensual or carnal... they are not led by
the Spirit. They lead to destruction.
Galatians 6:7-9 " 7 Be not deceived; God
is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also
reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit
reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. "

HERE IS THE ANSWER TO THIS DANGER IN THE LAST DAYS!
Jude 1:20-21 " 20 But ye, beloved,
building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in
the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. "
But you! Who? YOU!!!!!!! This is written to the church...
and you are hearing and reading this now... it is to you!
Beloved, build up yourselves on your most holy faith and
praying in the Holy Spirit.
1 John 5:4 " For whatsoever is born of
God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that
overcometh the world, [even] our faith. "
Romans 8:26 " Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we
ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered. "
Colosians 2:7 " Rooted and built up in him, and stablished
in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with
thanksgiving. "
Ephesians 6:16-18 " 16 Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the
Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints; "
The danger is a demonic and flesh problem... the sensuality
(carnality) of the flesh is the seed of the problem, and the
answer is the Holy Spirit moving through us in faith. Faith
moves the Spirit in our lives. Through faith, the Spirit
empowers us and moves through and in us.
The victory comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
made alive through the Holy Spirit... the Spirit brings the
power of God to bear on the problem.
We must build up ourselves... how do
we do that? On the most holy faith... ours... personally...
our faith... and praying in the Holy Spirit... we have to
get past a dry little prayer and pray in the Spirit.
Romans 10:17 " So then faith [cometh]
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. "
1 Corinthians 12:9 " To another faith by the same Spirit; to
another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; "
Galatians 5:22 " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, "
Awake...
walk in the Spirit... be filled with the Spirit...
Ephesians 5:14-20 " 14 Wherefore he
saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead,
and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk
circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the
time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not
unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is]. 18
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled
with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your
heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things
unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ; "
Ephesians 6:10 " Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord, and in the power of his might. "
Keeping
yourselves in the LOVE OF GOD!
This is a power key! Not only do you
walk in the protection and power of God, but you keep your
motives right and uncorrupted as long as you are motivated
by the love of God.
You cannot be pulled from the truth and from the right if
you are operating out of a spirit of God's love. These
destroyers teach a selfish kind of self-love that tears down
the things of God and true love for others and for God.
Looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal
life... that is what leads to eternal life. The mercy of the
Lord Jesus Christ gives us hope.

Jude 1:22-23 " 22 And of some have
compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the
fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. "
Continuing on...
These are the works that we are supposed to have that
are in opposition to the destruction these others bring.
These are the good works of God that we are supposed to
bring in the last days making a difference in a hurting
world.
1. Building ourselves up on our
holy faith.
2. Praying in the Holy Spirit.
3. Keeping ourselves in the love of God.
4. Looking for the mercy of Jesus Christ for eternal
life...
That is the things that we do for our own walk with the
Lord... or from between God and ourselves. It is our own
walk and relationship with the Lord.
But in verse 22, we see the works that we are to have as
the saved church of the Lord Jesus Christ... we are the
body of Christ and do the works of God in the earth.
Acts 10:38 " How God anointed
Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:
who went about doing good, and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. "
John 14:12 " Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;
and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go
unto my Father. "
Acts 1:8 " But ye shall receive power, after that the
Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. "
Here we continue on in making a difference in this
hurting world. Some through compassion, we make a
difference.
The love that God has given to us overcomes evil and
gives hope to a hopeless and dark world. The light of
Jesus Christ shines through us.
LOVE IS A MIGHTY TOOL OF GOD THAT FLOWS THROUGH US...
YOU SEE, GOD IS LOVE AND WHEN WE ABIDE IN HIS LIFE, WE
FLOW IN THAT LOVE.
1 John 4:7-8 " 7 Beloved, let us
love one another: for love is of God; and every one that
loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth
not knoweth not God; for God is love. "
Matthew 5:43-47 " 43 Ye have heard that it hath been
said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine
enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless
them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and
pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute
you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which
is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil
and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the
unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what
reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more
[than others]? do not even the publicans so? "
In fact, the works that God brings through us is a
result of the Spirit's fruit in us. Love is the
foundation of that fruit and becomes a powerful force in
our lives. It is our new nature to love and forgive. And
that love in us is power and touches the world through
us. Love is what makes life worthwhile, and the agape
love flows from the presence of God in us. He created us
to bring forth HIS WORKS... and love... and that love
for others is the nature of those works. According to 1
Corinthians 13, we can operate in spiritual gifts and
give all for the Lord, but if we do it outside of love
then it is all wasted. Its all about the love of God.
Ephesians 2:8-10 " 8 For by grace
are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
[it is] the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man
should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before
ordained that we should walk in them. "
Ephesians 5:8-11 " 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but
now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of
light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all
goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what
is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship
with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
reprove [them]. "
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 " 1 Though I speak with the tongues
of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become
[as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though
I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all
faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not
charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my
goods to feed [the poor], and though I give my body to
be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me
nothing. "
James 1:27 " Pure religion and undefiled before God and
the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows
in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted
from the world. "
In this world of spiritual darkness and lust and hatred,
we care called out of that darkness into the light of
Jesus Christ... and we are to shine in that love and
make a difference.
Matthew 5:14-16 " 14 Ye are the
light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot
be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it
under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth
light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light
so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven. "
Romans 12:15-21 " 15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice,
and weep with them that weep. 16 [Be] of the same mind
one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend
to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things
honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as
much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give
place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is]
mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if
thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him
drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on
his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil
with good. "
WITH SOME, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE THROUGH COMPASSION. We
reach out and touch the world with the love of God
flowing through us.
and with some... THROUGH FEAR!
Some who have been compromised through New Age teaching
will choke on that one... but the Gospel and the Truth
is balanced. We cannot understand the grace of God
without understanding the wrath of God. God is love and
God is holy... and these two are true at the same time.
If people reject the love of God, they will discover His
wrath. That is a simple truth that has been lost in the
compromised age that we live in now.
It is "politically incorrect" to talk about the "fear of
God". But is wisdom to speak of it.
Proverbs 1:7 " The fear of the
LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools
despise wisdom and instruction. "
Proverbs 9:10 " The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning
of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is]
understanding. "
Luke 12:1-5 " 1 In the mean time, when there were
gathered together an innumerable multitude of people,
insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to
say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the
leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 For there
is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither
hid, that shall not be known. 3 Therefore whatsoever ye
have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and
that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be
proclaimed upon the housetops. 4 And I say unto you my
friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and
after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will
forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after
he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say
unto you, Fear him. "
Acts 9:31 " Then had the churches
rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and
were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and
in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. "
2 Corinthians 7:9-11 " 9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were
made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye
were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might
receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow
worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of:
but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold
this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly
sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, [what]
clearing of yourselves, yea, [what] indignation, yea,
[what] fear, yea, [what] vehement desire, yea, [what]
zeal, yea, [what] revenge! In all [things] ye have
approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. "
We reach out with the TRUTH that does bring the fear of
the Lord and the fear of judgment to the unrighteous.
There is a healthy fear of those who are not in Christ
of the end of this physical life, and the judgment of
the rest of eternity. There is reason to fear God if you
are proud and unrepentant.
The Good News brings hope and joy and life to those who
will believe upon Jesus Christ and repent, but it brings
judgment upon those who refuse to turn to Jesus Christ.
You see... some are willing to just receive when they
gain knowledge of the good news of Jesus Christ. You can
reach them with love. But others are proud and enjoy
their sin, and some of them have to be reached with
warnings of the judgment to come. God resists the proud.
John 3:15-21 " 15 That whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal
life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God
sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He
that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not
believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into
the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that
doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the
light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that
doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be
made manifest, that they are wrought in God. "
1 Peter 5:5-6 " 5 Likewise, ye younger, submit
yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject
one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God
resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of
God, that he may exalt you in due time: "
Some
are reached through LOVE and some are reached through
FEAR... pulling them out of the fire before it is
eternally too late.
Revelation 20:14-15 " 14 And death
and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the
second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in
the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. "
Revelation 21:6-8 " 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I
am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will
give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the
water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit
all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my
son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the
abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have
their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death. "
Mark 16:15 " And he said unto them, Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He
that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he
that believeth not shall be damned. "
HATING EVEN THE GARMENT (our spiritual condition)
SPOTTED BY FLESH.
Ephesians 5:27 " That he might
present it to himself a glorious church, not having
spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should
be holy and without blemish. "
1 Corinthians 5:9-11 " 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle
not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether
with the fornicators of this world, or with the
covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then
must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have
written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is
called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an
idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner;
with such an one no not to eat. "
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 " 14 Be ye not unequally yoked
together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath
righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion
hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath
Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth
with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple
of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living
God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in
[them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my
people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean
[thing]; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father
unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith
the Lord Almighty. "
Jude 1:24-25 " 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you
from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the
presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, [be] glory and
majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. "
And Jude finishes it with worship and praise...
unto Him that is able to keep you from falling. Look,
this letter is a severe warning to keep you from
falling, but here He gives the key to the one real
source that will keep you from falling: Jesus Christ!
Romans 8:31 " What shall we then
say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be]
against us? "
Romans 8:37-39 " 37 Nay, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am
persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of
God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. "
Romans 14:3-4 " 3 Let not him that eateth despise him
that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge
him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art
thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own
master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden
up: for God is able to make him stand.
Ephesians 3:19-21 " 19 And to know the love of Christ,
which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with
all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to
do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him
[be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all
ages, world without end. Amen. "
2 Timothy 4:18 " And the Lord shall deliver me from
every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his
heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever.
Amen. "
He is the one that our hope is in... and in all the
forces that are trying to shipwreck us and the false
ones among us... the tares that are trying to poison out
the wheat so to speak, the Lord Jesus Christ is able to
keep us and present us faultless before God Almighty!
And notice that Jude said with exceeding joy. There is
joy in the Lord now in Him... there is joy in the
Kingdom of God actually, but there is a much greater joy
coming when we are presented to the Father.
To the only wise God and Saviour... He is our God... He
is our Saviour.
We are saved through Jesus Christ. Hey, what happened to
the expression, "I am saved!" Folks, through Him, we are
saved!
Hebrews 7:25 " Wherefore he is
able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto
God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession
for them. "
Ephesians 2:8-10 " 8 For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of
God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For
we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them.
Romans 10:8-10 " 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh
thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is,
the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation. "
Romans 10:12-13 " 12 For there is no difference between
the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is
rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall
call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. "
He ends it with this wonderful praise to the Lord!
Be glory
and majesty and
dominion
and power!
Both now and forever!
Although Jude is a severe warning against the dangers
that have come within the church, there is wonderful
hope through Jesus Christ our Lord!
